I May be half American half Nigerian but I'm still proud of my homeland
I'm proudly to be part of Hausa kingdom and proudly Nigerian 🇳🇬
I’m 40% Nigerian % 20 Liberian 🎉
I see this history lesson has been tailored to hide unfortunate events. Noted. Honesty and admission is key and has proved to bring progression.
Yoruba cultural carried/carries "Nigeria"
Wow
So if kingdoms n empires were well established, just how much say did colonizers have?
70% fair attempt at reporting the history of the people in the country now known as Nigeria.
To my Nigerian 🇳🇬 sisters and brothers, LOVE from Romania 🇷🇴❤😃
Yup we were sculpting with iron ore and would take our goods to other places from ogoja to Cameroon to Zaire to South Sudan all the way to Sicily.
The people of Ifeanyi came from the people of Benin and learnt from them not the other way
Never 200 tribes but more than 500 tribes. Stop deceiving ourselves
Are you the coin guy.?
Nigeria is a creation of Britain in 1900. You can describe Nigeria in terms of different nationalities and their separate histories. This is simply rubbish.
And its not lar-gos
Pronounce Bacon its not Bar-con
It LAGOS as Lay-gos okay
And Sokoto the S is / s/ not z
Well
Just to state there's a tribe in Nigeria
Underrated and undermined
They exists in about three states and got quite fair population and history in the country
Even fought for their own State that is comprised of them in majority
That is the IJAWS they exists in Bayelsa( A name derived from three main local governments or provinces- which are Yenagoa, Brass and Sagbama(yours truly) the state created for them( consisting of the Ijaws (Izon beli), the Epies, the Nembes, the Ogbias, and others very valuables to the states uniqueness)
And existing in major states as Rivers state and Delta state.
We have in the country a term used to categorized the dominance of the three most populated tribes
Which are Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo the term is WAZOBIA, Meaning "come" in the various respective languages.
But I and my people look forward to new slogan
WAZOBOBIA.
In truth we are part of the majority of population across the country.
That's it
Thank you.
Peace✌
Just received my dna results 31% Nigerian 🇳🇬 then Mali and Senegal 🇸🇳
Would love to see more content that covers African history outside Mediterranean! It feels like the western world doesn’t give African civilizations much thought until the slave trade occurred :/
The country with the most hidden history, thanks to Europeans. Almost all what your western religious beliefs are, is about to get turned upside down.
Nigeria I knew there were strong things in that country❤❤
Tell me why people don’t talk about the powerful empires in Nigerian history
Instead they make it look like Nigeria was just some weak land who easily got colonized
Yoruba finest of art is still what we see today in the yoruba people❤
Igbo sculpture fit give pesin night mare.
Benin people no dey gree say dem learn sculptural art from the great Ife.
Love to my nigerian brothers and sisters from a somali 🇸🇴❤🇳🇬
Does Graham Hancock ever talk about these people?
Why i never heard of this in school 😳
Good video
As a Nigerian (born in Lagos in 1994) thank you for this video. God Bless Nigeria, Long Live Nigeria.
The kingdom of Nri never got into contact with Benin. That's not what I read in my books.
It's not largos it's laygos
History of Nigeria, what an insult there is no Nigeria, Nigeria is British company
"Benin stable and prosperous," Yeah by terrorising and subjugating weaker smaller less warlike tribes, And taking their Gold and their artifacts and of course their people as slaves to cultivate their palm oil and other things. And having such a mass of slaves that they sold them on to slavers bound for the Americas. Their so called fantastic culture is only worthy of the six minutes.
🇳🇬 Nigerian gang
Your off about dates bro some of those tribes are traced back too 700 ad
As a person of Nigerian descent, thank you!
Great video bot pronansation is killing me the butchering of Nigerian states but still good 👍👍😊
I think it's sad that Nigerians neither know nor study their own history.
My country has sooo much potential but such bad leadership.
However, we believe we will truly become Africa's giant. Not just in name or population.
Europeans would have us all believe that we people of Sub-Saharan Africa are savages. They are the savages.
I am proudly Nigerian 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
Seems like everything was going fine until the fire nation attacked
NIGERIA IS NOT 3000 YEARS OLD… lol !!! add a couple zeros to it
infact, i don't thing any of those Kingdom are as young as 3000K, 1:13 ok here is the thing about blueprints… if comes before the creation. Why would Ife getup one day and decided to get into metal status in 1100AD? Think about the heat index it takes to create those art pieces? the technology and training of the artist. and the cultural reason why it would be important.
It feels so good to finally see and know more about Nigeria history. Thank you for this 🇳🇬
How much Generals became leaders of Nigeria ? 😂
Thanks for this concise, yet robust video. It means a lot 🙂
