Today we’re going to be making a Tunisian dish, that is part salad, part dip. It’s made with a combination of Grilled Peppers, Chillies, Tomatoes and Onions, and it’s the perfect salad for summer.

🇹🇳🇹🇳🇹🇳🇹🇳🇹🇳🇹🇳
That looks good
The title can stop at Perfect. "The Grilled Tunisian Salad that is Perfect" 😬😁
Try seasoning it with carvi instead of black pepper, that's how we do it in Tunisia. It will elevate the taste and make the salad much more fragrant.
I am obsessed with salad Mecouia!
I am desperate to find a Tunisian person, to make it for me!
It's such a faff to peel all the peppers!
I live in central London, but have been going to Tunisia for 30 years!
Just love everything about Tunisia, and miss the food!
Yeah I don't quite get tunisians love for canned tuna either 😅 but otherwise i just love Tunisian food
My tunisian friend made this. It was so good with tuna and bread. Love it!
Обожаю мужичару этого, особенно за тесты в конце. Так кайфует, прям радуюсь 🙂
God bless you, my man. Family's proud of you!
Imagine thinking Tunisia is in the Middle East😂😂😂
You did a great job . 👏🏼 we need to see more Tunisian food Obi . These are my Egyptian husband’s favorite Tunisian dishes ☺️:
1.couscous,
2.brik,
3. Tajine
4. Fricassée
5. Youyou
6. Soufflé
You followed the traditional recipe PERFECTLYYYY. Extra virgin olive oil is best tho for this, not normal olive oil. This can be eaten when it’s still warm but also cold because after you’ve made it you obviously store it in the fridge and you don’t re heat it when you eat it. We eat it with white baguette but this can be eaten with any bread you desire and you are correct, you can use it on sandwiches too 😊
It isn't only tunisian, it is a Maghrebin dish, Algeria and Morocco have the same dish
from either a chef's or normal person's perspective, you are easy to follow. brief and uncomplicated.
My husband is from Tunisia, I’ll cook that for him! Thanks! 🥰
I was really looking forward to see tunisian recipes in your channel . About using black pepper with grillrd salad , I would say that we usually add a mix of caraway and coriander but not black pepper
you did it right , in tunisia we eat it as an appetizer, or as a side with grilled lamb
I love you
i am algerian , i love tunisian dishes and slata mechwiya
Awesome! Would be interested to see how you may use harissa in dishes
I love Middle eastern food and am enjoying your videos very much. Thank you for sharing with us.
not me watching this while eating slata mechwiya and hearing you talk about the flavors that I can't unfortunately taste because of covid :')
I know baba ganoush as grilled eggplant with tehina. So basically the same prep but with tehina and lemon juice mixed in. I'll def try this though, I got a few more green chillis in my fridge than I should so I guess I've got something to do on the weekend.
This looks very good! I definitely want to try it, but is it viable to do it without that much oil?
Its is not a tunisian grilled salad if not grilled on charcoal and the spices should be salt and caraway (carvi) why using black pepper if you have all that pepper in the saled. Please stop changing traditional recipes.
Great job! I just recommend adding ground caraway and coriander (and omitting the black pepper) as they give Slata meshwiya its unique flavor, so they're necessary. Good luck from 🇹🇳
almost 100k my dude!
