THE GREAT GAME: Inside Kenya's late President Moi's government, attempted coup & gamble.

This is the story of the great political game, that drove the late President Daniel Arap Moi into power, the race to end his 24 years of his dictatorial rule and the gamble that led to the historic victory of the opposition outfit led by retired President Mwai Kibaki and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

  1. Very interesting documentary
Moi could have been thrown away from power long ago if the opposition played their cards well by uniting… i see this happening again in Rutos regime, he has already swallowed the opposition, and it gives him a better % to serve another term.

  2. Ukabila, eh? If Africans mix politics with tribalism, then we will always have problems. Look at what is happening right now in my birth country, South Sudan. Kenya has been in peace for peace for a long time, but look at the recent Mwandamanos. I fear the worst for this beautiful Eastern African Country.

  3. the most powerful statement from Moi..(POWER IKO KWA WANANCHI NA SISI TU NI WADHAMINI WAO)……Someone needs to remind Ruto Raila and his fellow political conmen this fact..POWER BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE AND THE PEOPLE HAVE DONATED THAT POWER TO THEM

  4. I was born in colonial Kenya. JK, Moi, MK, UK and WSR have all been our "Waterloo" time and time again. Like JK, (DT), MK, UK, WSR, DT died with too much Kenyan blood on his hands. No wonder RIP is hardly a thought that easily comes to mind for all these post colonial leaders ala their colonial masters, that have all misled Kenya. What kind of legacy are we bequeathing our offspring 😢? A sad legacy indeed. I am thoroughly disappointed, even ashamed with my nation KE. Go GenZ's, perhaps one day you'll realize the nation that KE is meant to be: unequal, tribeless, and home to all Kenyans in the absence of poverty, ignorance, tribalism and disease. God bless Kenya now and always. Backwards never, forwards ever.🙏

  5. 17:44 "Kenyans appear like they must be oppressed to be led well… they do not trust honest people"
I don't think the narrative has changed much until recently with the anti-government protests led by the young people. Great documentary.
