Question: Ben mentioned that the US seeks to maintain control in West Asia, not because they need the oil per se, but because they need to be able to control oil prices.
Could someone explain to me like I’m 5yo how that works? How does maintaining a foothold in West Asia allow the US to control prices in the oil market? Probably sounds self explanatory to some people, but I have a hard time conceiving of economics 😓

All I remember is Assad's strong words against US invasion of Iraq at UN 2003 speech. What's wrong with Assad love driving luxury car? He was president, a west educated doctor. He loves good stuff, having taste of luxury. Anyone with money and rich do love all the good things for his family and children. I guess you will do the same.

Thing is china funds US military both by buying US debt and selling the US cheap raw materials to the US military industrial complex war machine. And the whole ugyhurs situation is actually a creation of the Soviet Union to destabilize china during the sino soviet split. So china effectively subsidizes the US war machine and only started to stop whej Taiwan became an issue again and when the Drumpf trade war started. And Drumpf did as many if not more drone strikes in four years then Obama's eight and dropped the MOABs in Syria, killed top Iranian general Soleimani who was supposedly helping fight ISIS and then Drumpf did this whole Abraham accords calling it the deal of all deals yet forgot to invite Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Yemen etc to the table. That deal along with the killing of Soleimani could be called the first definitive shot in the latest round of violence in the middle east. Russia interestingly enough sold the US atleast $2billion in good in 2023 alone. That doesn't seems adversarial to me but rather gives some credence to the idea that a lot of theatrix are happening right now and we don't know who is making what deals ie the Hamas hostages delays could be an Iran contra 2.0 where Drumpf plays Reagan which makes sense because MAGA is a recycled Reagan campaign slogan. Also both men bankrupt the US, they were both actual actors and they each sold the devil in sheep's clothing using the satanic panic psy op

What do you guys think about the fact that Assad gassed his own people? Are we just going to overlook that?
Though communications channels have been opened between HTS (formerly Al Qaeda in Syria), Russia and Iran, both States had already begun the process of talking directly to Turkiye several years ago, after recognizing the inherent weakness of the Damascus Govt. Unless you blinked and missed it, Joint patrols by Russian and Turkish forces along the north Syrian region after 2016, were early indications as to where Russia saw the future of Syria.
Right now, the US/Anglo-Axis that occupies north-eastern Syria, has got no reason to feel smug about their piece of stolen Syrian real estate. They're in the shit big time, but they're too dumb and stupid to see what's coming.
Yean, US killed 5 million people in its post 9/11 wars and displaced 30 million, but US always served The Higher Good, Wall Street-the richest .01 percent of the population. .
