  1. Why don't Tesla trucks have a clearcoat, like every car with a paint job? Also, if you get a wrap, and then a rock or something cuts through it, you have a concentrated rust spot every time it gets wet for the foreseeable future.

  2. It’s an idiotic vehicle. Basically a teenage boy video game design. First Tesla was supposed to be the more environmental choice. Well, despite that questionable claim, Musk went and made a bigger, heavier vehicle, that negates any advantage of it being electrical. He also allowed the back to block rear viewing, with large blind spots, and a very dangerous design that will be a menace in an accident. It is expensive and difficult to manufacture. He did all this, why?? For some teenage boy meme move? The same thing with Twitter. He vastly overpaid for that and proceeded to destroy the brand and its functionality. It’s now a cesspool of spam and bots. The same thing with SpaceX designs to build an upright landing rocket. Which will not work on the moon or Mars. It’s a childlike design that makes the whole process of space travel wayyyyy harder and more expensive than it should be. Musk never grew up, and it shows.

  3. There are ceramic coatings designed for wheels and stainless exhaust. I don't see why they wouldn't work if willing to coat it or have it down once every year or two.

  4. I don't know how Tesla's going to fix this. Cleaning off the rust from the stainless steel, caused by iron or any other corrosive penetrating the none protected surface, using a scouring pad and not applying something to protect the area will just make that area more susceptible to rusting in the future. As others have stated, wrapping the truck alone won't help, either. If any air or water gets under the wrap, it will still cause the stainless steel to rust. Maybe they can apply an anti-corrosive compound to the steel before wrapping the truck? Similar to applying WD-40 to your iron and stainless steel tools after cleaning them? Of course, the compound can't prevent the wrap from going on. Or maybe they can use the cathodic protection? However, there may be some safety factors to take into consideration based on the amount of charge needed.

  6. Even I, a guy who knows very little about cars, can tell that these guys know nothing about cars and only care about the pristine tech-ness of it all including Marques Brownlee who even reviews cars. They need to stop simping for Tesla.

  7. Leave it Marques and company to once again prove they know nothing about anything but consumer electronics.. Rust can still form with a wrap.. Stick to personal electronics – the level of ignorance and trying to pretend like you know what you're talking about is pure ignorance.

  8. All car paint is susceptible to this. Most paint has surface (rail) dust on it but you can’t see it because the paint color hides it. White shows the rust, look closely at a white car and you’ll see.

  9. Dumbos here not understanding that stainless steel is literally iron carbide alloyed with chrome….bruh it’s gonna rust but it’ll take 50 years or so

  10. Best way to keep CyberMusk from rusting is put it in an oxygen- less environment. Launch it into space and have it orbit Mars Like the little MuskRat did with his model whY!
Better idea is don't buy anything a fascist is selling because why give money to a fascist?
