Rahul I do certificate because , Whenever i want to learn and after i complete the syllabus and then i build projects and try to implement and execute the conepts

@enigmag2484

You are absolutely wrong, you are only talking in one perspective i.e., experienced person's one. Do not you think people of other backgrounds, college going kids, and even researchers wants to learn cloud computing. You have typical mindset like HR.

@IPP175

Without certification, I wont get slected in IJP

@fahad_ab

Do you recommend any platforms to get hands on cloud experience without the need of certifications?

@AbhayAR

I just cleared AWS DevOps but company paid thats why

@esteban-alvino

Hello, I like your video because it has a different perspective and goes against the standard quo but I'd like to ask you what is your recommendation for people looking for a job. For example my case I'd like to land in a Data field as Data Engineer because most of my backgraound are in Database and Devops but lack of Cloud experience. thank you.

@feussilassi6028

Hii , Jospeh from Cameroon, i'm very impressive about your content!
Much courage

@jwhite1202

This was a good video. I think the biggest difference between today and maybe 5-6 years ago is that you could get certified and it was a springboard into a new career path. Fast forward to 2024 and the certification is now a nice to have, but you'd better have a few years of experience to go along with that certification. I also like how you spoke of collecting certifications. While it's great if you have a personal goal to master all of the aspects of a given cloud platform or several platforms for that matter, you are never going to need all of those skills unless you are a one person shop. The best route to utilizing cloud certification is to use it to distinguish yourself in a role that you already have or are closely aligned to.

@anilphilip546

I subscribed to your channel and then I clicked on the "more" and then I see that you are charging $25 a month as membership fee to access your videos. No thank you

@ameyasanyal5965

Eye opening video, thanks for the guidance

You know, I never did a certification and I only did my own projects which are more powerful than all your projects in the company because in your company you guys are only writing simple API and services and storing data in the databases and I got a job at Amazon

@kumarabhishek5652

If everything is a trap, what's not a trap then

@ImranMughal-w4p

Very insightful and on point Rahul! Proof that there are no shortcuts to anything worthwhile… On another note, if you're looking to get a certification take the time to investigate how you can either get your employer, partner or the CSP to pay for it…. Why pay if you don't have to…

@gajanangiri_

U r such a brilliant❤mentor 🙏thanks for guiding And
Joke of the Decade is ——
“ Certification — It feels like they are just collecting Pokémon card😂

@sanjaysreedhar9162

You have a point that certification alone wont suffice… but some self learning + certification will help secure a job which you would like to have… most of the times, certifications are for changing roles…

@ralph4370

Here is my take. Those that complain about how certs are a waste of time do not have certs. Then you have those in the camp that collect them like pokemon cards like you stated. Then there is the "real world" experience. How do you go about getting it? Many HR IT videos state "Yeah home labs are great" while others state "Don't put that in there".

Been trying to crack to Server Admin/Network admin roles for the last 10 years and always get beaten by the under performing butt sniffers. Meritocracy is false. Many jobs promise "We love to promote from within" or "Everyone moves up" then you see many don't move up. Certs will open doors but, when many jobs currently say "X years and Y Certificates" and still skip you over. Currently I have the COmptia Trifecta and college degree, years of Open Directory and AD and got beaten out by a novice in my department. I am relegated to train new recruits and when I ask why do my recruits move up and not me? They will "let me know" and never do. You become too good at your job and get stuck there.

@phoneix24886

Certifications are great before switching companies. 😊
Sure it gives you a vast amount of additional knowledge about a subject but nowadays it's mostly a money trap and a great business for organizations issuing them.

@stoicismeveryyday

I wanna enter in cloud project management. I belive that currently AWS cloud certification will help me. Is there any another certification should i take?

@ogookafor2137

Wisdom!

Definitely need to put a lot of thought into what you said. It all seems true, but, in consulting especially, employees are forced to get certified in every certification that exists. Just to be ready when an opportunity knock’s.
Do you think that is a good strategy, if not what would you recommend consulting companies do otherwise?

@shaileshpython

Certifications and projects plays important role to get calls and to crack interviews .
Something is better than nothing.

@BhargavSushant

Certifications are just a way to get pass through one of the filters of ATS. That's it. It won't help you in preliminary screening interview let alone in job

@ZachDift-kc4nk

No but recruiters are idiots – even if you have actual real life experience deploying apps on AWS and using various AWS products, if they don’t see some kind of AWS certification, many will end up overlooking you.

@satish1012

My approach is knowing the things at high level for example take courses on K8s, Cybersecurity

@cshri123

Honestly i thought this was Sundar Pichchai .Anyways ,your video was worth watching .Thanks 😊

@lamarcusguiton3007

What about going through multiple certifications with the same subject for the extra education and practice since we are learning at home? This is what I'm doing

@engalipak

Agree. Would like to add…

After 2 weeks most cert knowledge starts to vanish from your life…which is traumatic and embarassing when an interview comes up in future.

2ndly my advise is to always achieve the entry level cert for the domain/goal you see yourself to be targetting.

Those certs are the MOST helpful as they retain the foundational knowledge mandatory for the journey ahead … going further with leveling up the certs convolutes your basics and you end up with confusion and frustration

I know more confident and smarter Network Engineers with a CCNA than CCIEs who got lost under the "passing the expensive certification" pressures.

DNT GO TOO IN DEPTH INTO CERTS..IT WILL RUIN YOUR YOUTH.

Find excuses to engage in team wotk based experience. Youll never forget those.

@UniqueAB247

I love your channel. How you explain things makes it easy for me to understand complex concepts.

@birdistheword1226

Sundar AI 😊

@sodhi_gurcharan1

Give me advice sir.
I do not have a degree, I have a diploma in computer systems technician, and now I am preparing for certifications. But I can't even get entry level jobs, my resume is not being picked up. How can I even gain experience in the first place. Guide me

@rahuldubey2027

Your face is clickbait😅 you look a lot like Sundar Pichai! That's why I went ahead and clicked. Btw, very informative video 👍

If certification wont do anything, atleast your knowledge and learning will increase and won't go in vain. Something is always better than nothing. Hands-on experience is must corresponding to certification

@jz-7411

When sundar himself say's it , you better not question!

@malayalamblogger

There should be a balance on both. Most of current jobs require you to have a valid certificate to apply. Skills alone will make it difficult for job. Same with cerficiations alone without skills. Most of cerficiate collectors including me does that because most of those come at a free of cost and we should take them as patnership requiments require people to be certified.

And I also feel that as most of the cetifications is an mcq and mostly towards their service. Let it be aws or gcp or anything. It should come at a nominal free if its going to be expired.

Even Kubernetes Certification have shortened their validity from 3 to 2 years.

For Kubernetes the cost can be justified as they have to maintain a heavy server and the exam is hands on. But I still don't know why a provider is charging heavily for a certification that promotes their business.

Also from one certification to a lot of certifications is where we are at even for a single provider.

And the point should be more of certifications are good if you learn and attend rather than check dumps and pass.

The reality is managers are asking to learn AI . Secondly when you want to make a transition within your current company certification only become a proof that you have some learning curve maintained . Still don't understand that something which applies to developer or Devops centric roles doesn't apply to each and every field of IT.

@kennguyen1066

I take certifications for fun.

@prashantprabal007

Frankly speaking in my past 10+ exp
In It industry i never observer or met or heared somehow who have some xyz certificate and able to use and help in their current project even at 10% efficiency
Pls mind it , it's my blunt thoughts
Dont drag it to argument
Thanks folks!!!

@Tourwithkojo

I am really interested in taking a cloud course but my biggest challenge is I don’t have a good education, I dropped out of junior high school because of financial problems. I am a very optimistic person and always give my best in everything I set my mind to. I don’t even know how to write a CV, however I believe I can take this course and become a pro. My question is would companies hire somebody like me who is uneducated and find it difficult to express myself in English? Your answer will be highly appreciated. Thank you sir

@camspoon1510

Hello Rahul, I enjoy your channel I have a couple questions please. I was awarded my AWS Certified Solutions Architect two days ago. I want to work on projects to get real world experience. I want to work on projects that only gives me experience so when I inverview I want to know what I'm talking about. Also , I'm looking for the best site to work with projects it doesn't matter if it's paid or free. Whatever helps me gets me to my next step can you provide me your thoughts on the best sites to get those skills set. Thank you very much!

@Jazira-Real-Estate

How will you get a job interview if you don't have any certification, the recruiter won't even pick your resume. After getting the interview, then the certifications are useless that's when you need to show your skills. Certifications give you a chance to enter the door if you are a beginner, without them why will they interview you compared to someone who has certifications plus some projects. You are competing with the best, you have to have extra papers to get the chance to be interviewed.

@Chandra_77

can please make a video on S3

@SashaCianuro

It's like "Don't take driver license, it's useless 😅". You must learn to pass cert exam, so something you understand and so, you can find some job

@trolloso75

4 bad takes regarding certs

@DerrickWe

I see no issue with getting cert and telling people to stay away is foolish. Cert are not the one all be all but they are part of the package. There are real shortages in many area and you you going out and just practicing to get hand on and skill is not enough and all that posting on Stack Overflow will never been seen by HR and will only work for a small percentage of jobs. The truth is you need a combination of things to be valuable to companies and the cert, labs, projects, and networking are all part of it.

@efuchsman

Rahul Wagh videos are my aws certification. I've learned so much about vpcs and load balancers just from your content.
