This video was inspired by a comment left on my channel that is a typical one I receive. How have black relationships changed over time– and how are modern black relationships a reflection of politics? And why am I, a historian, tackling this topic?! Happy Black Love Day, Valentine’s Day, and…

You can't say nothing about black woman without getting flamed. Especially if it's true. On ALL the argumentative comment threads on videos like this i just KNOW ima see people pandering to black women like they're perfect while kicking down black men. Yeah there's done pieces of work out there on BOTH sides but this gotta stop or yall never gon fix yall part of the problem. All and i mean ALL my friends that have kids? Are in their child's life even the ones that aren't all the way cool or with their childs mother. Shit one homie i know has 2 childrem with his elementary/highschool sweetheart and theyre still together working with each other! Neither cheats or does the other wrong they're too busy raising a family. We all need to figure this out though, both sides. Or dont and just keep getting cooked and fighting amongst ourselves 🤷🏾♂️
😮😮
I love your videos, always educating me about something. Thanks. I really appreciate 😊
As a black man I don't have a problem with other black people dating or marrying someone from a different race. I also don't have an issue with black people who prefer to date another black person (it's 2024 and we all got our preferences, lets keep it real). However I feel that a lot of black couples are together out of loyalty for the culture rather than true love. Just a thought I have.
I tried my best to beat the odds but Bw are too difficult and entitled, a lot of women of other races found me handsome and sweet but Tatiana thinks I’m short and insulted me becuase I have a Chinese last name. It was a no brainer ever since 15 in high school been dating interracially and my wife who I happily live with treats me amazing, thank you phillipines 🇵🇭
We all know she will experience exactly whats she teached… smh.

I love this side of the internet 💕
I just want to tell a true story that happened to me at work. I walked into the lunch room, where several of my female colleagues were talking, and I over heard one say to the others "I would never date a guy who made less money than I do." Yes, she really did say that, to which I thought, well, maybe that's why there is a glass ceiling, some women anyways, seem to insist on it.
Mostly black men's fault.
On many of the videos on YouTube and other areas of social media, many men seem to have the belief the industrial revolution was never to involve women. That no matter what women were to serve roles they held in agrarian societies and those only. Never mind two world wars and increasingly advancing technologies or living in cities. Forget education as well.
Professional educated woman you are I give you 100% credit
I mean there's like 21 or more different types of birth control. Proven effective. And safe. It's YOUR body, right? Well, protect YOUR body with birth control. True, women don't impregnate themselves, but THEY ALLOW THEMSELVES TO BE IMPREGNATED, which gives them far more power. Not all men are responsible, and y'all are the ones always lecturing us about this. So, take proper precautions and prevent yourself from getting pregnant.
"stupid" huh, Ms. T!t for Tat lol. Look, let's just stop the bs and be real. in the US, statutory r*pe aside, 2-4% of pregnancies result from forcible r*pe. If 70% of black women have babies out of wedlock it means about 2% of those women with OOW pregnancies in the bc are a result of r*pe. So, how do you explain the remaining 98%? is that all "stealthing"? TBH, i don't know all the stats behind "stealthing", but i DO know that besides abstinence, birth control is the most effective form of contraception. C0ndoms were recommended for many years. But C0ndoms break. Besides, some men do terrible things such as stealthing. Not doubting all of that, and those men should be punished to the fullest extent. But the thing is, you don't even NEED a c0ndom (except for protection against STDs) and you don't even NEED to keep your legs closed.. Have s3x with 1,000 men. Who cares?…My point is: this whole OOW problem could end practically overnight by women simply taking birth control!
soo happy i found your channel, I love information.
I never understand black women that sleep with men and have kids with them and then complain to them about what they don't do……………and all this u new prior to sleeping with him
sooooo umm clay and ad is exactly what tis video is talking about! that should be a follow up to this video!
Yeah, we historians are awesome. I apreciate your musical taste for your track in this video.🇧🇷
It's weird how you can talk at a fast clip for a half hour, exploring the history and socio-economic and technological circumstances affecting black love, but STILL center on black male irresponsibility as the reason for black women having kids out of wedlock. Last I heard, women were in charge of their own bodies and there are 21 plus different forms of birth control, some of them are even free…such as keeping your legs closed or insisting on a condom. Appreciate the enlightening discussion. But how about we maintain some objectiviity in the interest of preventing harm to the bc at large.
Let's divide the black community with more bs.
Jesus why does the blk "community" have so many issues. I literally never have any issues dating non-black women. They are much easier to date without all the trauma and hard-ship stuff lol. We are our worst enemies.
So you mentioned black men historically being locked up due to ws while also discussing black femicide. So who is deleting bw if all bm are angels and jailed for no reason ? This narrative has to stop. It does nothing but paint bw into a corner and it’s so tiring to see. These men were locked up for a reason. All the crimes happening now were happening then. Setting us on fire. The beatings and so much more. Please tell the whole truth.
Happily married and still vibing with my black Queen👸🏾since 2017, Good marriages are still thriving…we are stronger together my people💪🏾💪🏾and you are pushing out good content sista!!
Started watching your material, then I realized you were a feminist..I’m out.
Videos like these are proof that maybe the black community is beyond saving, everyone has someone to blame but themselves.
You don't get married for love or happiness alone you get married because it's a covenant that is blessed by the most high. Marriage is work for all parties involved and it is a avenue for building generational wealth.
Black love does work. You just dont know how to pick em
God, I love this woman. 🥰
That commentor def came to ur photos i don’t make the rules 🤷🏾♀️
So if black men are to bad, why is the interracial marriage rate so high? And specifically the black american man at a higher rate than both african and afro latino man.
40% of black male college educated newlyweds are married to a non black woman. If the BM is so bad, why dobthe indian , arab, asian and latina women take bm as husbands?
I just date women from other cultures that want to be traditional wives and I just be a traditional man like my 2 married parents raised me to be. I feel I shouldn't try to control sistas or tell them what to do.
Say it girl! 🙌🏻 ❤
Hey I just wanted to say your videos slap. Like you are really good at what you do. You deserve millions is subscribers
The problem is folks trying to force it. I get we want blacks to stick together but if you’re getting cheated on, abused, or just straight up unhappy don’t just sit there and accept it because you want to showcase “black love”. That’s not love that’s just torture.
Not only that why do people always got something negative to say when 2 people of different race go out with each other? Love is love. And as black men we gotta defy these stereotypes of us as well. 💪🏾 the culture in general is toxic and needs to be changed.
I’m out here trying to defy this narrative of black men and I appreciate this video real shit 💯 majority of relationship problems are learned behaviors and we are trying to break our generational curses and I love that for us
So let’s be clear for all the ladies who cheer at the idea of not being covered by a man or a worthy companion! Do you not understand women that by whatever means (authoritarian, biblical, cultural or just plain male to female dynamics) it was and still is in a moral regard and a traditional sense considered to be of high honor for a woman to be covered by male authority? Which means you should always have a need for a man to answer to. I’m not advocating for women to submit to egotistical maniacs or foolishness but submit to righteous male authority. But righteous doesn’t imply perfect! But my focus point is that you should always feel a need for male authority, for proper provision and protection! Granted, these days there’s always exceptions to the rules but it’s not the reality for the majority. Over time and with the shift in circumstances our traditional foundation has been destroyed nothing has never been perfect but back then we had most of what we needed. Women are supposed to leave their families at marriageable age and to be safely passed on to the man that would safeguard and provide for that father’s offspring. But since women don’t feel the need for boundaries and regulations as a result most people are immersed in premarital affairs, promiscuity, children out of wedlock, STD’s, sexual inquiries and the list goes on.. these are the consequences of abandoning old means of what wasn’t perfect but it provided us with most of what worked and what we actually needed. This isn’t about blaming one side more than the other but let’s honest both men and women have equal responsibility in the downfall and reconciliation of the black family. Nothing will change til we have a change of heart and actually work at healing the pain that’s been caused.
My words are rooted in love and wisdom and what I believe to be true, so hopefully no one takes my statement the wrong way.
Now I see why I’m attracted to your vibe. Your a highly sexual controlled lady 😻😻🤭🤭
Cool video 👍🏿
This woman’s voice is God awful. Disgusting.
Was not expecting this delivery. I'm obsessed with how you stuck to your guns and stayed in line with your channel's message in response to a personal attack. Brava 👏🏾👏🏾
I'll always believe in black love there's no other woman right for me. I'll never let a small percentage of our community be the face and narrative of our community..
After working as a pharmacist😒 I learned black people are posterized as the face of evil while the people who consumed the dr-gs the most got a pass.. Black people don't spend enough money to keep the pharmaceutical industry going.
This world is wicked I just learned let the godless be with each other. The Most High always had a remnant of people who were set apart and not conformed to this world. HE instructed us not to marry the stranger/other species.
Edit: No I'm not racist I'm just stating facts.. I got a job training certification wrongly called an education/degree more like brainwashing but its not an education.
