  1. I have been watching Dragon's Den for a long time now, and have seen Steven in action on previous investments for aspiring business individuals.
To achieve success isnt always easy most of the time, and some of them have had difficulties & obstacles in their way, that they had to deal with to achieve what they have today. So, to be a good listener is crucial for investors, because if they invest their hard earned money in something, a product or service that is not going to succeed, changes are that they will loose out on anything that they have agreed or sighned into.
If criticism is given in certain situations, then it must be constructive, because it is part of mentoring and building. Guys like Peter Jones, Tukar Suleiman, James Caan, Sarah Davies & Deborah Meaden, are all individuals that have inspired me in such a way, that I would take all the advice from any of them to build a successful busines, and not to forget that being disciplined is crucial if you want to achieve success. Anything in life that comes easy, can also be easily lost or waisted. But,..what you've worked for, with sweat & blood perhaps, you will cherish more, knowing that it was your time, energy, sacrifices, and everything else that goes with it.πŸ‘Œ

  2. She didn’t overcome the objection at all. She didn’t even isolate his objection. She went into defence mode rather than thinking about what Steven had said. This response from her shows her naivety as a business owner to the dragons. Steven made the comment because he is adept in this business. He is sent the samples and the pitches. He has the acumen to decipher the market segment. She didn’t refer to key differentiators from the other business. Problem with naive business owners is they talk before they listen. Get better at asking questions and listening to responses.

  3. If he has received a number of massage guns(& looking for his endorsement) , that’s gotta be a sign there’s plenty on the market right. He makes a good point, She doesn’t want to hear it

  4. Core customer or not, Steven wasn't lying. You see this stuff everywhere. She should have told him How Her product was different and how that difference would appeal Her target Market. That's a Horrible way to handle objections especially when you are looking for an investor.

  5. Absolutely true, his opinion is just one opinion. The proof of the product is the core market. His job is supposed to be knowing what the market is, and he is not it. Maybe they should swap places.

  6. This short clip reminds me why I stopped watching years ago. Even this has appalling camerawork. Wobbly zooming in and out of the dragons faces, then slipping side to side, when the shot should be locked off. This programme is the only one I know with such hyperactive camerawork. It's like the operator is drunk.
