A Jersey restaurant is giving Philadelphia a run for its money when it comes to cheesesteaks.

  1. YES ITS DIFFERENT AND PROBABLY GOOD! AND MAYBE THE BEST IN JERSEY EVEN THO GAETANO'S MAY CHALLENGE YOU ON THAT! BUT STILL NOT AS GOOD AS A GENUINE PHILLY CHEESESTEAK! "NOT FROM PATS OR GENOS"

  2. I'll just say it. New york pizza is italian knock off food made by sweaty syrians with poor hygiene and the only reason it has any reputation at all is because besides a lukewarm hotdog kept at fuckin 112 degrees in disgusting water, its the only thing your average new yorker can affoed after paying 4000 dollars to rent 300 square feet without a fully functioning kitchen.

Some fuckin' depressed upper middle class waspy french fuck is gonna barge into philadelphia and say thr best cheesesteak is on a kaiser roll because he shot his arms full of heroin throughout his entire schooling in fucking Poughkeepsie, when he doesnt know dick or shit about cheesesteak. The best cheesesteak isnt on a fucking bready ass round roll with seeds you inbred junky fuck.

    Rip.

  3. I work in downtown Camden and live in Camden County. The hate in these comments for this city is unwarranted. The city is filled with beautiful caring people trying to live life at it's best just like the rest of us. If you're scared to go to Donkey's stay home, we don't want you.

  4. lol never understood the whole marinara sauce and onions on cheesesteak, it's everywhere in Pa. despite growing up there, always had them with onions American cheese and ketchup

  5. I love Donkey's but they are not representative of NJ cheesesteaks. Every other cheesesteak joint in the 856 and 609 comes on the long roll, chopped steak, no seeds, less onions, etc.

  6. If you also like soul food, just a short walk southeast on Haddon Avenue, you'll find Corinne's Place… like she said, "eat your vegetables!" and two massive servings come with every meal!

  7. Always admired about Bourdain that he wasn’t “above” eating something like this and admitting it was good. But also was at home in a 3 Michelin star restaurant.
