Ok. So youre again posting misinformation. The "Negro-Indian" is a postcolonial group and was a "Negro/Indian" **MIXTURE**. Meaning escaped slaves and indians interbred, creating creating this classification. They were not a naturally indigenous people who resided in the Americas prior to european arrival. Youre conflating (combining two separate topics). Native Americans were reclassified as "Black", nor because they looked black, but because it was easier to erase them on paper and open up their lands for white settlers. Again, those Indian, Native Americans were not "Negroes", they were straight haired, almond-eyed Native Americans who the whiteman wanted to erase on paper. I think the problem is that we need to quit using the word indian and only used the word indigenous. There's an association with Indian.And prior to certain events indigenous people weren't considered indians by each other anyways.
