Can I start my exams while I’m in university or should I start it after graduation
This man represented actuaries very well in this interview, very articulate in his information.
Wow, Boni! I'm so happy to meet someone from Kimberley. My son is in UCT, doing his first year in Bachelor of Business Science in Analytics. He did his high school here in Kimberley Boys High.
He wanted Actuarial Science , but his Maths was 78%, so he couldn't qualify. I'll share this with him.
Enkosi bongi. I just can't do anything without Actuarial Science 😢
Hi Boni and Yusuf.
What could be some challenging things that people with no mathematical based degree that completed all their exams with the Institute and Faculty of Acturies might face? Especially with acquiring jobs and Trainee positions?
Would it be possible for someone studying a tangential degree, let’s say data science or math to register with ASSA and write the exams concurrently or would I need to obtain the degree first ?
👏
Very informative video thanks Boni
Can you please share his LinkedIn
Software engineers earn more than actuaries though.
Hi, I am currently studying a BSc in Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics. Given that my degree allows me to take certain actuarial exams, I'm curious about the best career path to eventually work in the actuarial science field. After graduating, should I aim to enter a different industry, such as data science or banking, while completing my actuarial board exams through ASSA? I understand that actuarial science positions generally require either a dedicated actuarial science degree or completed exams. My question is whether gaining experience in another industry first would be a viable route before transitioning fully into actuarial roles

He has a bit of a Kenyan accent. Great interview as always Boni and all the best to Yusuf and his professional journey.
Wow Amazing
Hi sis Boni thank you so much for this video you were the first South African I've come across who makes information about these careers easily available. I am truly grateful thank you so much. This information is truly important to us who come from poor backgrounds and are trying to figure out how to get our families out of situations. I almost did a degree that had no money. You are literally saving lives❤❤❤.
Thank you Boni and Yusuf for this interview it was very eye opening.
Wow what an informative interview. Thank you Boni sisters . I know Quants who works in the trading space such as banks and hedge funds(not personally). Saw a documentary years back called The Alchemist of Wall Street 🔥🔥🔥🔥
