  1. The cardigan, shawl or not, is an extremely versatile piece that tops even the turtleneck for me. It can act as its own top layer/sport coat or layered underneath a jacket. Next would be the turtleneck because it gives those 60s/70s classic vibes if worn alone and is elegant enough to wear with jackets and coats. Can't go wrong with either. Runner up is the V neck because you can rock that with a collar and tie to smarten up an outfit and honorable mention to the cable knit because I know it doesn't get enough love. I am quite partial to a turtleneck cable knit. Chunky and a little sophisticated.

  2. Honorable mention: cashmere (2 ply or more) hoodies. Elevates a casual look for men. Easy to layer over a car type coat, To preserve the underarms & back of your sweaters and to extend time between cleaning, invest in some nice quality t-shirts👍🏾

  3. What’s your thoughts on sweaters with big logos on them? I’m thinking about getting a Polo sweater with RL in it big in front. Childish?

  4. @The Style O.G. : Please, what are your thoughts re: the sweater vest? Do you wear/recommend the sweater vest for a mid-40 year-old man? What are good professional and casual wear allternatives to the sweater vest? Thank you.

  5. Vneck or cardigan with a tee is timeless to me.I also love turtlenecks because I hate scarves so it covers up my neck and it just gives you a tough look if paired with the right coat/ jacket. Not a fan of collars or zip ups.

  6. Great selection Jeff, all quality… do like the crew/V neck as the most versatile option, but worn right then the turtle neck is the real awesome piece. Your channel is tops, so much of your content is where my wardrobe is at 👊

  7. @StyleOG: My favorite styles of sweater are a few of the ones you named. Crew neck, V-neck, and cardigan. Wool, cashmere, and cotton are my top fabrics! Keep up the great work my brotha! The cable knit sweater you got on looks good as well. Looks like cashmere!

  8. My favorite sweater look for men is a v-neck sweater worn with a button down shirt and tie, topped off with an ivy cap. I absolutely love it when my husband wears this!

YEAH, I WEAR A BUTTON DOWN LITE WEIGHT SHAWL SWEATER INSTEAD OF MY BLAZER MOST OF THE TIME, BECAUSE IT GETS TOO HOT IN SOUTHERN CALI, MOST OF THE TIME. THAT SWEATER IS A GOOD ALTERNATIVE.

  10. Love JCrew sweaters—in fact, bought a wool green coat there for me today. Sweaters on men with collars underneath are 👌🏻🔥. Black sweaters with super dark new blue jeans (and a belt!!!) looks good, too. You’re right, v-neck is always a winner.

  11. My fave sweaters to wear are cricket sweaters. The super preppy cable knit with the v-neck. I honestly started liking cricket sweaters because of seeing Carlton Banks rock them on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He always had the preppy colors, like yellow, pink, green, red, baby blue and so on. I also like the shawl collar sweaters.
