They want Gaza to pass a new canal thru it.
1) Egypt should not tax Suez Canal users to fund its government. That means all of us are paying more for goods. We're being taxed by a foreign county. Instead, the fee to use the Canal should only be enough to pay for its maintenance.
2) Israel can't get along with its neighbors. Israel already tried to grab the Suez Canal for itself but was forced to give it back. Now Israel wants to build its own canal. Just great. Now we can be taxed to keep Israel afloat too.
