  1. The sprinters of today are not better, there are just more if them hitting under 10, let's just be clear. Until someone in this era goes under 9.7, the past era is still the best.

  2. I’m confused here. You said the wind in the race was +1.2 m/s, but the race is listed on world athletics as 0.0. I don’t want to discredit these athletes, because I do think they are capable of running these times, but this does just give me some FloJo vibes.

  3. Let’s be honest, all of Usain Bolt’s teammates tested positive for PEDs. Drugs are evolving and tests haven’t kept up with them. Track and field is full of them. Guarantee most athletes are microdosing with something.

  4. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say NONE of these NCAA guys or obscure sprinters from parts unknown are going to be in Paris. It’s going to be the same guys we all know just like it is every 4 years.

  5. im a bit sceptical to say the least tbh, especially given that he only did 10.04s with 2.1m/s 2 months previously, going more than a 10th of a second faster with less wind is possible but considering the rest of his season its highly unlikely

  6. Oblique had a perfect reaction to the gun, he would need a perfect start like that every 100m race, running under 9.9 consistently in order to beat Noah on any good day. Noah needs to focus on what he's good at, his bread & butter (200m) – Noah also needs to work on his reaction time to the gun, it's horrible 🏃‍♂️

  7. Espinosa got an amazingly long drive phase. You can train and train, but it takes a confluence of discipline and just the right angle of attack to get that to work. It has happened to me in a few races and those were the progression of my PRs. I can try for years to get another one of those races, but they just happen randomly. Two of those beat Olympic Gold medalists who should have (and had previously) smoked me under normal circumstances.
