  1. She wants to be known as Thandiwe the Zimbabwean British light skin actress who has colorism awareness now after having mixed kids with a white man. Please, as an African lighter than Thandie mixed woman, her apology is bull. She probably had a lot of men "choose" a dark skinned woman over her, thats why she went "ghost" (my mom is white and dad black as coal, don't come for me) she needs therapy 😂 dark skin women are thriving just fine ❤

  2. CRASH 2005, One of the most evocative and poignant films I’ve ever seen. The racist prick cop doing the most selfless act ever. The self righteous Philippe doing the dastardly deed. This movie is worthy of its award acclaim. Many movies followed suit in emulation : “Powder Blue”, “The air that I breathe”, and there were several more after the aforementioned? Thandie Newton will always remind me of her role in this spellbinding, sublime, and stellar performance. I forever recognized her after this movie. I believe it’s the movie that made her? For myself, anyhow. The only thing I didn’t like about Crash is that she wasn’t using her Brit Accent. ❤lol 😂 I hope Thandie Newton gets this: “I love ❤️ Thandie! And I’d like a picture with you while we’re breathing!” ☝️😎

  3. if these dark skinned chicks were light skinned like thandie , there would be no bitterness !!!!!! no complaints !!!!!! thandie has NO , NO control over what men chose to say is beautiful . ITS ALL ABOUT ENVY . black , dark women envy her . plain and simple .

  4. It is not Newton's job to promote other actresses. That's bunk. It would be nice if people did, but it's not any one person's job. How dare they criticize her for not doing what they want her to do.

  5. Her name is not Tendy-Way🙄… Her name is Tah-(as in taugh)-Ndee(Like lee but without the L, just add N and D *Ndee*) – Weh(Where)

    Tah-Ndee-where (Thandiwe)
It means Beloved. The name Thandiwe is primarily a female name of African – Zulu, Xhosa, and Ndebele origin.

  6. In her bio. Stacey Dash said she was raised in a white area and was the only girl of color in her high school. When black girls were then bussed to her school , she was in more fear than any white girls. Why ? Because she knew she’d suffer the greatest because of her light skin and her ‘good hair’ ! She was abused constantly by the darker girls. Why ? Because she was found more attractive by both races. I say to all dark women, “stop blaming everyone else and blame the black men who abandon you for the fairer skinned, not the women. Even writer Toni Morrison said if “you are a dark skinned woman you can have a man, have kids but your chances of marriage are very bleak as successful black men prefer their women, light, bright and near white ! “ Just look at professional men and athletes. Sadly a white man tends to be more appreciative of a dark woman’s beauty !

  7. What she said about being treated racist more from black people. I’ve known for years. Many light skinned “good hair” women suffer this. I’ve always felt her getting roles was than she was British and in no way ghetto, which crosses many lines. She also had many friends in the business who helped her along such as Nicole Kidman and her then husband Tom Cruise.she also has a colorless demeanor in interviews. She’s an outstanding actress whose lost her way. I’ve never understood why she’s appeared nude alongside so many men while being married. It’s so disrespectful to him and her children. I hear they’re separated but hope they stay together as they are a beautiful couple. I’ve never understood how someone so greatly blessed could be so disrespectful to the true God to get praise from a godless Hollywood community .she needs to recognize how much the true Gid has blessed and looked after her. Her life has taken a downward spiral since that time. I hope she recognizes that following Scriptural principles could prevent so much of her hurt.

  8. Everybody, and I mean everybody thinks that people do not get cast in projects for the craziest reasons. People are cast for how they will appeal to the most audience as possible. Box office is king, period. In the USA, black Americans account for 12.4% of the population. It is called the movie “business” for a reason. And when I say appeal, sometimes, you associate with the character. You see yourself in them. Sometimes you wish you had a partner like them. Is this a new discovery that visual appeal to the larger audience sells more tickets. Is that so hard to understand. They are in the business of giving the largest audience they can, what they want. It doesn’t always have to be racism. They don’t have to be against any group of people. They are FOR, making money. It’s not fair because it’s A business.

  9. That apology SUCKED! First she isn't a black woman she is biracial. She is half black and half white. The problem is the black community wants to call EVERYONE black when they are mixed. So she identifies with the black community since our community is more welcoming of others. I have seen and heard stories of people actually being cutoff by their family if they had a child with a black person. We need to protect our culture as well because I am a light-skinned woman and BOTH of my parents are black. So she gets no sympathy from me. She should have ran that apology by her black mom first before going on national TV making a fool of herself!

  10. I just wish as Black women we could stop with the light skinned/dark skinned mess overall. It feeds into what others want to see. I hate that she even felt the need to validate her art and the roles she gets. We know there are disparities in all industries but the owness is on all of us to make it better for one another and speak up in the rooms we find ourselves in. I agree she should not have apologized because as we see "she's damned if she does and damned if she doesn't! "

  11. Ok…somebody keep me honest here…homeboy that got killed by his girl in Florida said disparaging things about BW; Loni had no comment. Ms Newton admits issues about darker skin women and issues “apologies” and she’s got lot to say while putting it on lighting…humm…or am I just trying to compare apples to oranges…🤔
Sounds like “Lightning Loni” is gonna be a thing now…just saying.

  12. She was brought up in Cornwall, England. They consider themselves to be separate country from England. It's not known for being welcoming to other (White) English people, let alone people of colour. I can imagine that growing up in Cornwall as a person of colour would have been brutal.
    Hurt people, hurt people.

  13. Funny… They are all talking about being proud darker skinned black women and slaying white woman yet look at them. They are conforming to white beauty standards with straight, sleek, shiny hair and not embracing their natural beauty. The world has a long way to go and this is pure hypocrisy

  14. This is so silly. They know how to light dark complected black men so why would it be an issue for women??? Lighting is easily remedied. she’s talking about the PREFERENCE for lighter skin. And, that’s a very real thing. Nothing that she created or should be apologizing for. But, she feels some kind of way. Whatever…completely does not affect me as a brown skinned woman. That’s her albatross . No wonder this show’s been canceled.

  15. How in the hell r these black women sitting up there talking about it, yet have straight hair weave, blonde hair attached to their head, & noses cut down, etc, etc, etc? Unbeweavable!!🤦🏽‍♀️

  16. He went in with the African-American women think that she want their man this woman meant everything she said she was attacking African-American women and I am an African-American woman and I’m not standing for it

  17. Oh no that Newton woman met what she said and she wasn’t coming after no black woman but African-American women and you’re non-African-American women need to stop your bullshit because remember we open these doors in America for you you guys didn’t open the doors for us

  18. I'm sorry I'm dying at the 'Tand-way' 😂😂😂😂 I always loved Thandi growing especially learning that her mom is African. But that video was beyond cringe, she should have kept it in the drafts

  19. What she got to be guilty of I don’t believe she said anything wrong a lot of light skin actress feel this way that’s why the real ant gonna last too long the shade in the beginning I’m over it
