  1. Nice, I just checked the Tesla website for the Netherlands for a model Y and the price INCREASED with 2.000 euro. These EV prices keep jumping up and down almost every few weeks.

  2. No, no, no!

Tesla has cut prices because the early adopter market is saturated, and mass market for expensive cars, be they ICE or EV’s, is in the tank due to inflation, higher interest rates and overall worsening economic conditions.

In so doing, Tesla has also brilliantly devalued all existing Teslas on the road.

What’s more, Cybertruck is a disaster. A conventional design would be easier to mass produce and appeal to a far larger crowd.

Maybe it’s time for Elon Musk to step down. He’s made too many stupid mistakes lately.

  3. FSD is making great progress. Tesla should allow owners to add FSD to a second owned Tesla family vehicle at a discounted price.
Someone that has purchased FSD should have a transferable license and be able to use it on multiple family vehicles.
Why has there been such a long delay to updating or refreshing the Model S and X interiors with the new ambient lighting.
Many people are holding off buying a new Model S or X while waiting for the new features. Why the slow roll out ?
The focus on FSD is great but the cars need timely updates to their features. The slow roll out hurts sales.
New features need to be rolled out promptly and not dragged out. The lack of focus on the Model S and X is hurting volume sales.
All the costs for research, development and amortization of manufacturing equipment for the S and X should be written off by now.
It is time to lower the prices of the Model S and X to reflect the reduced costs and increase sales volume. Glad to see the price drop by $2000
Should be more like $5000 drop. You need to be able to pick a desired exterior color and interior color and still be eligible for the IRA $7500 tax cut.
Missing out on the $7500 tax cut because you chose to pick an exterior ($1500) and interior color ($2000) is just crazy.

  4. Musk's pay package was out of line and was made possible only because he hand-picked his board to rubber-stamp his decisions. The problem with self-driving isn't regulatory hurdles but reliability. The Tesla bot is unimpressive. (Have you checked out Boston Dynamics' new all-electric bot?) Despite falling value, Tesla remains a meme stock and way overvalued. Tesla is also facing increasing competition while the rising demand for EVs is slacking. Add to this that Musk's aberrant behavior is turning people off, and 2024 could be a dismal year indeed for Tesla.

  5. There are a lot of people in the UK that WANT EV's, domestic power storage, solar etc…. BUT, the there are a lot of dealerships, middlemen, installers etc that are jumping on the bandwagon to make a quick hefty profit. The government isn't offering similar incentives (the ones who benefitted were buying 'top end' cars) and a lot of lower end used EV cars for sale now are small battery, shorter range, longer charge times. While they are cheaper than new they're still not affordable for a lot of people. We WANT Chinese cars to arrive in the UK but the British government is likely to place tariffs on them right at the start, and until there is a considerable drop in USED EV prices we'll have to continue using ICE cars.

  6. Hello. You gave the price reductions on the model Y for the US and Europe, but failed to give an idea of the price reduction in Australia, where you are based. Maybe Ozzie viewers are in the minority on your channel and you no longer care to give information for your local community.

  7. Subscriptions for stuff on cars won’t work as people can’t and don’t want to pay for something already installed in their car. And no Tesla is focusing on a subscription/hire car plan, not a $25,000 car.
The batteries will still be more expensive than the whole car. And those 14,000 layoffs are worldwide.

  8. USA price $34,000 / .645 = AUD $52,700
But in Australia a Model Y RWD = AUD $60,900 or AUD $66,379 drive away price.
Maybe the $34,000 USA price isn't what you really pay if you include taxes and fees?

  9. Tesla great technology but still can't build anything of finish or quality. Cybertruck accelerator pedal becoming unglued is not a minor problem. A self tapper in the factory with a T emblem would've fixed that. Once the Chinese copy Tesla technology, Tesla will be gone in 5 years

  10. I do not consider a $2,000 price cut to be significant enough to become overwhelmed with emotion. Now, a $10,000 price cut might raise some eyebrows. A $15,000 price cut might get people interested enough to make a change.
In order to sway more buyers into a Tesla, they need to extend the battery warranty to 100,000 miles or more. Who can afford or would be willing to pay $20,000 for a battery replacement after the warranty expires. I sold my Model 3P when the warranty ran out. It was a great car but, not that great.

  11. Are you going to address the job killings? You were quick to jump on his side before 10,000 cuts. People lose their jobs and that idiot musk wants millions for screwing his people

  12. FSD is both amazing and flawed. It is not perfect so the steering wheel and controls must stay as well as the driver. The flaws are significant and you can't fix them yourself. It will make the same mistake over and over. And speeding is not without consequences.
This idea of paying for a capability that never comes is beyond me. I love driving the car and am very happy with it.

  13. Is the Model Y Long Range now under $70k to claim government subsidies? Eg. The WA Government offers a ZEV Rebate of $3,500 for new zero emissions vehicles with a Vehicle Subtotal (dutiable value) of $70,000 or less (including GST).

  14. I’m curious about them dropping enhanced autopilot in the US. I’m hoping that it means that some of those features will make it into the standard autopilot.

  15. If introducing new models is hard, at least introduce new paint color every year, instead of reducing price repeatedly. Tesla leadership has been terrible for the past 2 years.

  16. No change in Canada, where price was up CDN$1000 on the Y LR since our purchase in March. And I'll be dissappointed if they bring out the new updated Y before the end of 2024. The messaging to sales people that it would not be earlier than 2025 was what prompted us to buy now. And as for FSD, I was offered a free trial on my 2022 M3 RWD,. After it cut into the centre of a roundabout, then booted off down the road at 75Km/h (and accelerating when I disconnected) in a 50km/h zone on the first drive, I decided to forgo a subscription.

  17. I dislike Tesla but commitment to continued support via subscriptions of their models is huge. Ability to get new software stuff on 8-10 years old car is great. Cars easily last 15 years why obsolete them faster as VW and Toyota and Chinese brands do……

  18. No changes in The Netherlands …. €43990 including all tags and taxes. Plus, for non-business buyers, a €3000 subsidy (for EVs under 45K, but before registration/tags costs).
