Tensions rise in Pellissier, Bloemfontein as residents claim vacant land


Scores of people are illegally occupying land near Pellissier in Bloemfontein.

They claim they have been waiting for site allocations from the Mangaung Metro Municipality for long.

Police have been deployed to the area to assess the situation.

  1. THE SIZE OF EACH STAND SHOULD MATCH THE SIZES OF THE EXISTING SURBUB STANDS, SO THAT IT`S WON`T LOOK UNTIDY. IF YOU LOOK AT THE BACKGROUND THOSE TREES CAN BE MOVED AND MORE PROPER HOUSES CAN BE BUILT.

  2. This is just another attempt from the ANC that have failed their voters. Every one is blaming the Municipality but who is in control of the Municipality – ANC. And it is ANC councilors who sent these people there.

  3. Let this be wake up call to authorities, people need land. If an individual can have thousands of hectares & someone doesn’t have a place of their own then more of these land invasions will happen. Resettle people to avoid this

  4. It has to be stop u cant just take land how many of them r legal in south africa eff has to be stoped inciting this land grabbing goverment must select land and help people get setteled in on land is alocated and fit to live on running water

  5. When plp helping themselves in the land that is not owned by anyone just municipality, why it is called invading because this is our life from long time back we used to help ourselves, because there are now these white plp as they hate black people we are invading the land, whos land ?
