  1. No smoke without a fire. What is the problem for Egypt, if Israel dismantles Rafah. One can wonder,. What is their interest in all this putting all at risk. Think, please think.

  2. After Egypt spent weeks telling Israel not to do this and trying to get the US to tell Israel not to do this, Israel "coordinated" this movement with Egypt? What by saying, f-you, we're sending out tanks into Rafah? And Israel doesn't want to hold the border? BS. I really question Balig Sladeen's objectivity and DW's selection of him as a commentator on this story.

  3. Egypts been lying about the Hamas smuggling tunnels. Now that the IDF discovered them they’re busted. This is why they were desperate about Israel not going into Rafah.

  6. i dont blame egypt for not wanting to take in the palestinians. i read this old book once that had a whole chapter about a mass migration into egypt from palestine back in olden times, and it eventually ended with egypt being hit by ten plagues from god. i wouldnt want to involve myself in any kind of mass migration after experiencing that either, things can quickly derail and go south and the next thing you know youre the bad guy who's getting cursed.

  7. We read elsewhere that the Egyptian Army was profiting off of allowing arm smuggling into gaza. To the tune of several million dollars per year.

The Egyptian government may disagree with them but corruption on that particular border is high.

  8. I can't believe that the anchor repeated the false claims of genocide now that the UN has lowered the official casualty estimates from 34,000 to 24,000 and we know that Hamas losses are included in those 24,000. And we know that Hamas losses are about 13,000.
