  1. First it was Uganda πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬ wanting to use Kenya’s KPC networks to transport fuel into Uganda! Now we have Tanzania πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡Ώ so desperate to use JKIA for cargo flights?
It’s coz Tz knows that JKIA is the leader in Africa as far as cargo handling capacity is concerned to the point where it was awarded the continental cargo handling hub award last year! In fact, a report by the Airports Council International says that JKIA handled 360,000 tonnes of cargo in 2021, leading all the other airports in the continent in terms of total cargo traffic!
So it’s clear that Tanzania doesn’t have the facilities for efficient cargo handling and that’s why they so desperately need Kenya to come to their rescue!

  2. Air TZ wants to operate cargo from JKIA to foreign countries yet they banned KQ from enjoying similar freedom years ago. This cant happen.

If they want to operate cargo from Nairobi, KQ must have reciprocal freedom. Kaa ngumu Ruto. Kaende kaende

  3. Well, while many point fingers at the GoK, my stay in Tanzania and the unfair treatment by the immigration makes me have a different opinion. Tanzanians are petty and Uhuru tolerated them so much, talk of the COVID era when their commissioners would take stern decisions meant for foreign affairs ministry and yet Uhuru could send the ambassador to stoop on such meager issues.
