  1. That ending was really sweet. Beautiful conversation, a lot to think about regarding how to guide kids towards the tools to be empathetic and critical thinkers. Its something Dr. K on YouTube also talks about a lot– the best way to communicate with kids is to ask them questions about what it is they actually want and why, and to really listen to how they work through these things. I know that when I was a kid there was nothing more frustrating than "because I said so", and some of the greatest learning experiences were from making mistakes and then being able to work through my thought process with my Dad so I could realize that my own actions weren't aligned with what I wanted out of life and how I wanted to be perceived.

  2. I been rocking with beleaf since he was rapping and driving a bus.
"It's BAR history month" ~Beleaf (i've declared feb BAR history month since 2016)
"remember me, i'll beat you and feed you and teach you to walk away from evil and leave you in disbeleaf/
throw disbelief on the band wagon there's no seats, if rappers wanna ride along theres only space up underneath!!

    UNDER THE BUS YO!!!!"
I appreciate both of ya'll, now we just gotta get that FD/Beleaf cypher. @ me if ya'll need beats.

  3. The Black dad contact is awesome! I Beleaf and Laguardia Cross. Both are entertaining and very informative as it pertains to black male perspectives on parenting. This content is awesome!

  4. no one has to make family/community attractive. It is an innate human need that everyone seeks out. Most of our entertainment is "found family". We can't afford stable families can we can't afford stable lives.

  5. I'm a white socialist who grew up in and out of homelessness. I want to be a father someday, and over the past few months, I have been lucky enough to be able to get my life together. Even though I don't relate to every aspect of your life experience, I always appreciated your videos FD. They help me a lot.

  6. As a Black Christian Socialist who hopes to have a wife and kids …this is like seeing a Crossover event designed specifically for me 😅. Love watching both of yall. To the subject of loneliness, I now feel less alone. Thanks yall ✊🏾🖤

  7. How do kids create a paradigm of reality? What books are relevant?

When Africa Awakes (1920) by Hubert Harrison

Black Man's Burden (1961) by Mack Reynolds

The Tyranny of Words (1938) by Stuart Chase

The first two are free on the Internet.
