  1. Next time, try not to seek help from a tourist guide…be spontaneous and discover everything around you and do not be afraid of people…and stay away from eating expensive restaurants…you will find the best and cheapest in the streets.

    That's so crazy they recommend squishing the donut to get out the oil. The amount of olive selection is jaw-dropping!

  4. Beans “never” belong in the Harira. The main ingredients are chickpeas and lentils, tomatoes, onions, beef and vermicelli (fine little spaghetti) not the Asian vermicelles, as well as fresh herbs, especially coriander, parsley and celery. It is seasoned with pepper, ginger, cumin, turmeric, saffron and a little cinnamon. Some also use “Smen”, a special Moroccan fermented butter.
