  1. Your video helped me understand the foods I eat and why we prepare it the way we do ..I am from Panama Afro Latina and we eat fry cassava, ripe plantain and enjoy well season chicken and beef. Great job, looking forward to see more..

  2. In the US we have a dish called Gumbo . The reason why we call gumbo "gumbo" is because the word Gumbo has origins in Congo. The word “ki ngombo” means “okra”.Thats how the dish got its name . Traditionally gumbo was always made with fresh okra. ( however; most people omit the Okra these days ) Lots of AA's have ancestry in Congo as well as West Africa. The dishes are not exactly the same but after 400 years that can be expected.

  3. The owner of the breakfast place looks 12 and the woman making the corn cakes who said she’s been doing it for 45 years looks like she’s 23! What magic may be found in Ivory Coast please? I’m so saddened that my ancestors from Ivory Coast/Ghana were ripped away. I hope to go one day in honor of them.

  4. Merci!!! I my dad is Ivorian, I didn’t really grow up with him so I’m not really familiar with all of the culture but food was a really big part of what I remember growing up with him for that short time. Thank you for this video 🙏🏾

  5. West Africans are the same people just divided by man-made borders. Almost all the foods and snacks are the same. Although made slightly different, all served the same way. This is why Africa is the cradle. I am Nigerian, a good cook, and a food lover. God bless Africa, and God bless humanity.

  6. I’m Ivorian lived there for few years when I was younger and I’ve never tried the first dish never heard of it. It looks delicious

  7. Povo fabuloso, gostei muito da boa vibração dos marfinenses. Wiens parecia um velho amigo nas entrevistas, ainda que estranho e estrangeiro…
