Not many things live up to their hype but The Masters is one of them. Every year.
It is not the same, an outsider hosts the champions dinner. The honorable and pure mystique is gone, greed and control have replaced what made championship golf great through the ages. I will watch but we are witnessing the disintegration of traditional values. In the early years the title meant more than the money won. Now it seems the only thing that matters is money in spite of what it can soil and destroy.
I’m not going to be watching it because it’s only on sky in the UK.
