Amen, brother. 1st rule of Money Management is "Pay Yourself First". 2nd rule – have an emergency fund, of at least 6 months expenses. 3rd rule – Don't invest in anything or anyone including family, until you have the 1st and 2nd.
You are doing a wonderf😂thanks for sharing.
Tell your people to stop spreading aids
God damn thats a wide ass nose sneeze everybody gonna get blown away 😂
It’s like this also in the Philippines they make the family in the western world so guilty for not helping they can be very manipulating and financially needy want more more money it’s a non stop cycle
Im an Afr Amer living abroad and Ive had 2 African women tell me that I was selfish for not sending money to my fam in America. I explained that my fam doesnt need assistence; they're doing better than me.
I am in that situation right now. 6 years in the UK and nothing to show of it. Sadly, saying I don't have money is both a sin and a crime. The entitlement of some of the family members is wanting. They'll use lies and blackmail to extort money from you.
The thing is… It is easier said than done… 😓
Im a US citizen and my husband is Nigetian which he lives in Nigeria. I have came out of so much money. Not once have I received a dime to say here I don't have much but I want you to know I appreciate what you done for my family.
Moment of reality. Well said 👏 👌 👍
I'm Jamaican living in the UK and I can honestly say with a grateful heart that I have never experienced this. All my siblings have a conscience and have even sent me money from Jamaica to help me and my husband after the pandemic caused us to become homeless. To this day, we all help each other, including my single parent dad and because of this, if I ever win a large sum of money or start to earn a large sum, I will definitely help them all.
Bro you just teach me a LOT , everyone back home is just give me give me and you feel bad because you don't want the people around them to say bad things about them or you. This happens in Jamaica as well.
You're totally right bro.
Black tax is real
My uncle asked me for iPhone 11 when my phone is iphone 8plus, after I got him the phone I found out that he was using iphone 13 pro max.
Balance is important. Be generous and also be wise. Family is very important. Parents (father and mother) are in a special class, they must be honored in all circumstances. The key to managing your money is to have financial goals and a plan. Be disciplined about achieving your set goals. It is possible to spend all on yourself and still end up broke. Set your financial goals early and have a clear plan on how to achieve them.
Just like Jamaica.
Today is my Phrankonero Flashback video day. Watching from Kent😎
The story with my Kenyan family would excite movie producer in Hollywood.
I finally pulled the trigger and havent spoken all of them for 5 years. The side effects is that i am much healthier.
Poeple should learn how to be fair and that parson that we invest in should give back to others
This is a fact and 100% true, Phrankleen, more wisdom, and more grace upon you.
A friend of mine shared me this link yesterday. Sir I must confess, your directly talking to me. Am a 21yr old student who lives with her father in Guyana 🇬🇾 but believe me when I take all the responsibilities upon myself. Family back home keep asking and asking and am drained. My vision, plans cannot even be actualize. When ever I try giving excuses of not having money, they won't talk to me or check up on me, sometimes mum will send pictures of how sick she is. She even did that yesterday. My family are placing me in depression everyday of my life and I don't know how to walk out of it. I can't even focus on my education 😪 because of them. They just call me to ask for money and I don't even know how to say NO am drained. I don't know how to get out of this mess, I need help mentally 😩
Things like buying land building structures they exaggerate the price, conmen
Here’s why you should stop sending money:
1. It makes them lazy.
2. It encourages them to keep asking for more.
3. Their problems will never be solved.
4. They never invest it to make more.
5. They can never help you when you need any help.
6. Most of them are ungrateful, once they get the money they disappear until they need more money again.
7. Just save your money and enjoy life. Stop spending life in your 20’s and 30’s trying to solve other peoples problems.
I funded a family member's 5-year visa to the UK, over 600k, and the person came back 3 weeks later asking for flight fare. Unbelievable
Sad reality!
WHOA!! This episode just hit me where it hurts. This is EXACTLY the story of our lives (my husband and I)
They never seem to stop. I've put up with it cos I don't want to be the "wicked wife" that stops him from helping family members, but it hasn't gotten out of hand. I now personally discourage him from giving money to my own siblings. You know what, I'm just gonna forward this video to him so that he can hear it from you
Hopefully that would help him to reason differently. Thanks for this.
Give a man a fish and you feed him for life. Let a man find a rod and he feed himself for life. Let's stop creating dependency making babies of grown men.
I stumbled on this channel. My husband’s sister cries broke all the time. My husband and his brother will be paying for his mom’s burial, which is fine but his sister is not offering to assist. I’m so PISSED 😤. I’m going to start crying broke too. My husband thinks because we have two high income we can afford. NO MORE .
God will bless you
Not just African families, but some Jamaican families. I used to give so much. I stopped and everyone act as if they hated me. I don't let sympathy and empathy emotions overcome my common sense anymore. They do not care about you. I promise you they really don't care as much as they pretend.
Hi from Dubai
He is so right.
I have 3rd cousins and cousin-in-laws that I didn’t even know existed asking me for money. Just weeks after coming back to the US and while I was there, they were asking me for money. When I got back, they said they lost their phone and another said their phone broke. 🙄
I have divorced my family. After so many years of sucking me dry l have finally divorced everyone including my mother. I can absolutely say that everything you have mentioned happened to me. I mean everything. Never have l ever thought l will turn my back on my family. But l finally did, and the freedom that gave me. Unbelievable. I wish l did this long time ego.
God bless you man! You speak the truth that most people are scared to admit lest they be labeled selfish. I've leaves abroad for most of my life but I'm from East Africa. Recently checked my western union account and it reads like a payroll. I feel good when I help family and people in need but I have now learned to prioritize what and whom I support . I'm a professional and earn a decent pay chq but Im always living on the fringes of brokenness due to feeling sentiment and self imposed obligation. Thanks for opening our eyes. I'll still help but will be smarter about it. God bless you for sharing the wisdom.
Warm regards
GG.
Thanks a bunch for this!
God bless you man
I am a black man living in the USA. I agree with you I spent every pennie I make in the USA send it to my country Haiti. Two years ago I stop doing that Right now I started invest my money in the stock market. I am no longer broke. My portfolio is around around S 30000.00 is less than 2 years. Thanks God bless you
Real real facts bro i experience some of these things with family already so I stop doing those things and start to put my self first now
You speak reality bro thanks for your advises 👍🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm South African American and I thought that I was the only one going through this problem. This is just unbelievable.
Damn bro. You're damn right with every breath of your word. I'm from Mombasa Kenya and I know without a doubt you are 100% right.
