Journalists- thank you for the hard & dangerous work exposing corruption. It seems that the network of stolen medicines runs deep. The organization created to protect the public from greed is not doing their job. Failure across the board. At this point it is best to take the medication out of the hands of Ugandans and into the hands of a foreign entity for distribution to the people who need it. I don’t see any other way. Obviously the need of money is the driving factor.

After watching several of these documentaries, I’m over convinced that Africans are their own enemies! We are the cancer killing our own country citizens! It’s the same story in most African countries…the height of corruption (not caring about the helpless and vulnerable) is overwhelmingly sickening!
Don’t bother coming for me! I’m African…of Nigerian descent to be precise.

I remember when my mum was on the sick bed in Lagos State University Teaching hospital (LASUTH). A particular drug was prescribed of which she takes every 6 hours. The drug was an expensive one and it was stolen in the ward where she was. This was part is what made her to die, it was the last money on my dad that was used to purchase 5 of the drugs and 4 was stolen out of it. I am pretty sure it was resold at the pharmacy we purchased it (That’s what was said when an alarm was raised). May her soul Rest In Peace and May the perpetrators not go unpunished. Thank you BBC for this. I miss you mum😢

    Dear Africa,

Christianity and Islam are the means through which Africa is still controlled and destroyed by outside people

Leave both Christianity and Islam, Then Africa will be prosperous

Point of correction in all these medics ,there were no pharmacists (bachelor of pharmacy),but pharmacy technicians and other auxillary staff in pharmacy, Pharmacist are highly ethical with a lot of compassion have seen some buy for patients drugs,.
PSU had to send rectification but certainly mistakes travel faster and wider than the truth,so my humble request next time use the real titles because these health professions are regulated by different bodies

African people need to get back to our natural herbs & such- since many of them can help boost the immune system and fight viruses & parasites. They have the land to do it. The medical community uses these same herbs to make medications but they aren't available to certain populations. There has to be another way.
