Some people don't know where to draw the line between politics, state and nation. Just because Tinubu won, they want Nigeria to sink. How does that make sense to you? When you travel out, what passport do you use?

The Libyans were a disgrace to African football, they should cover their faces in shame.
We are glad our boys are back safely.
However, there is always room for improvement for the NFA. Personally. I would suggest the NFA should investigate thoroughly what exactly was the experience of the Libyans in Nigeria ?
What exactly would have prompted such act of vengeance from the Libyans ?
They were allegedly delayed in the arrival lounge for hours , was there an apology from the NFA ? Why was their flight diverted from Uyo to PH ? this is what caused the inconvenient road trip for the Libyans. All these inconveniences are no big deal to us , but a foreigner will see it differently. I would suggest the NFA should assign a team with high standards to personally ensure foreign teams that are in Nigeria for a match should always get 1st Class treatment, knowing fully well that our footballers are going to play a return match in their guest's nation.
Hopefully this measure would avoid such overreaction like this issue from foreign nations in the future.

    I come in peace !!!

What the Libyans did was extremely dangerous! Our players and management team could have lost their lives in a plane crash if the aircraft had run out of fuel before reaching the next airport. This is completely unacceptable, and Libya should face serious sanctions, including being barred from hosting any matches for an extended period.

When this story broke, Reuben Abati sat there. He told the Super Eagles captain Williams Troost-Ekong and the rest of the lads to still go ahead and play the game (he said to beat Libya 2-0, 5-0, etc…) not minding the hostage-like situation our boys and officials were subjected to. One has no choice but to wonder what message he was trying to convey? His careless talk and lack of understanding of the whole matter call into question his integrity and ability to run his mouth on sporting matters.

Oseni, thanks for bringing this matter up. I was shocked to read how some Nigerians on Facebook were in support of Libya. I had to ask a Nigerian on Facebook. I think he had an Igbo name. I asked him if he has so much gripes about Nigeria to the point of calling Nigeria a zoo country. I asked this fool why he doesn't renounce his Nigerian citizenship and migrate to another country of his choice. I can't fathom an American, supporting an injustice that's against American football players. No matter how bad the situation is in Nigeria. It's the ultimate sellout to support Libya over your own country. I was even asking this Nigeria guy to go research the history of what goes on in some Arab countries. A dark skin Saudi Arabian citizen is treated as a second class citizen in Saudi Arabia. The Arabs that brought Islam to Africa and also came to trade ended up enslaving Africans, especially Nigerians. Nigerians supporting Libya, it's okay and you should renounce your Nigerian citizenship. If Nigeria is a zoo country to you, then leave Nigeria. I left Nigeria 49 years ago, there so many things wrong with what's going on in Nigeria. But no way on earth would l disrespect Nigeria and support another country over Nigeria. Especially with the way the players and officials were treated in Libya. They were held as hostage in Libya. The Nigerian government has to put a stop to how Nigerians are treated, especially by an African country. America will never tolerate such nonsense.

So what would have happened if they did not have enough fuel? The Libyan authorities are willing to jeopardize the lives of the pilots, players, and officials on board the plane to give them an advantage over a game? This is absolutely disturbing. The only thing for CAF to do is ban Libya from the tournament. I hope NFF will also report this matter to Fifa.
