  1. For many species in the animal kingdom, spitting and stinging is a vital tool for self-defense and in the pursuit of prey. In Arctic waters, the walrus depends on its ability to spit in order to feed.

The cobra projects its venomous saliva to blind its predators. Spitting provides the jawfish with a home – and a means to defend it. Putting their lives on the line, bees will use stings to attack any threat to their colony. Jellyfish trawl their stingers through the world’s oceans to subdue prey and ward off predators. The echidna is constantly protected by their densely packed, needle-like armor of spines. The Stingray’s powerful, barbed tail and potent venom is the stuff of legends, and the carnivorous centipede is granted access to a wide range of prey thanks to its paralyzing sting.

Animal Armory brings us yet another fascinating episode – taking a closer look at these mighty instruments of destruction and the animals that wield them with such precision.

  2. The Giant Sunfish aka Mola is the biggest eater of man o war jellyfish. They can swallow down up to a thousand in a night feeding hunt. We need to protect the Giant Sunfish aka Mola from the indiscriminate commercial fishing that kills them with tralling. That is why Japan is having a hard time getting any fish because their part of the sea is exploding jellyfish numbers. Turtles also eat LOTS of jellyfish but they've gone and overfished them gone as well. We need serious no take zones for decades at a time to try repairing the catastrophe commercial fishing has caused our ocean. Just to line more rich mens pockets. Destroy the earth for profit. What is more evil than that? 🤬

  3. Nature happens but I’m not ashamed to admit I got choked up over the lioness who was mortally injured. The thought of the pain and despair she was in just hurts🙂

  6. La "mantarraya" no es esta que mencionas, esa es una raya.
La mantarraya es la grande que tiene dos protuberancias en la parte delantera. Hay mucha diferencia entre una y otra.
