Our journey began in Victoria Falls, where we swam in Devil’s Pool and made day trips into Zambia and to Chobe National Park in Botswana. Then, we flew down to Cape Town. 1. Great video, Carrie! I enjoy your videos. You mentioned that you took this trip in August. If you don't mind me asking, did you guys visit in early, mid, or late August? We have targeted Cape Town as our next family trip for early August, but the Mrs. is somewhat hesitant to go at that time due to it still being winter that time of year. How cool was it during the time you were there?

  2. Incredible documentary of your trip! I was thinking no way would I go stand by the edge of the falls and right after that I heard "… this is the dumbest thing I've ever done!" 🤣🤣🤣 Incredible footage great job! Thanks for sharing!

  4. Hi Carrie. Wow as a South African who’s been to many places in my country on video production assignments, I must say this trip was wonderfully planned. You guys did your research very well looking at the places you went to. Your family definitely knows how to trip. This is what vacations are about right? Do things you wouldn’t usually do in your home town👌🏾✅, makes for beautiful memories

  5. Where is the location of the place where you can actually walk on the beach up close with the penguins? I only know the official one that you have to pay for the entrance fee and u cant really get up close 🙁

  6. Such a beautiful country, such a lovely video, thanks so much for sharing your experience with us. Hope you are well and having a great weekend. So sorry we haven't been able to visit you for a while we have been busy moving house. The big 5 totally awesome. Thanks again. Stay safe and catch up again real soon.

  7. I enjoyed your vlog, I can't think you were rested when you got back home!

When we get out of the city into the bushveld we stay at least 2 weeks to rest, in other words you just take in the beauty and rest but I doubt teenagers would want to rest that much. Africa needs to get into your heart, it seemed like you had a very busy schedule.

I encourage you to come for longer; pick your favoirite places and spend time there… do it in such a way that if you want to stay longer at a certain place you can.

If you want a beach vacation in Cape Town come Desember – March, good weather…
If you want to see wild life , winter is best, May – July.

Thank you for making the vlog, had tears in my eyes… Africa is a kingdom of beauty!

  8. Such an amazing video!! I’ve currently paid for my trip to South Africa over a year ago now, but covid is having fun with messing it up so I’m having to watch these videos to keep me going right now 🙈🦁
