Still anyone think the fight against apartheid was about justice? It wasn't. It was about jealousy of the ANC leadership that wanted the cushy jobs occupied by whites and screw the rest of the population exactly the same way the whites did.

When people don't pay their taxes, the city services will fail, look at Detroit, chicago, oakland California, Mississippi, anywhere blacks turn society into ghettos. Just facts.

The one thing this video fails to address, is how South Africa is on the exact same downward path as all other former african colonies. No mention is made of who is in charge, why the economies are failing. The only mention that is ever made, was who WAS in charge BEFORE the economies started failing. A general lack of applied logic. Africa did not fail because of colonialism because it was prosperous during colonialism, it failed after colonialism because it came under control of those who chased the colonists out.

This is what happens when corrupt people are allowed to lead. Greed knows no bounds, and the greedy will take and take not caring if they destroy.

California is one of the largest economies in the world and we are experiencing similar power problems. Failing infrastructure stems from corrupt and incompetent governments that are too busy fullfilling their personal agendas to the detriment of the public. Follow the money you will find out who is sponsoring the destruction of countries around the world. Who is profiting from the chaos they are sowing.

Under Apartheid, people saw business as he way to get wealth, and government merely as something needed for the protection of voters and industry. The blacks were poor, not just because of Apartheid, but because population growth exceeded economic growth.

The people who voted in the ANC, in contrast, saw government_power as a sources of wealth. The failure of South Africa is merely one example of the inevitable failure of any society whose voters see politics as a source of wealth (e.g. Venezuela). Many rich western cities and countries where this idea is taking hold will also lose their wealth and development.

progress has reversed because 'for sakes of equality' – which translates to equity in modern times – the black people are back in charge. and they suck at their jobs.

I am Tanzanian, and I must point out that the economy that is famed of Apartheid SA and that of colonial Zimbabwe was a European economy.

It was tied to European peoples around the world because those countries were being run by Europeans.

Once Africans took back possession of their countries, Europeans cut many of the ties because the economies of SA and Zimbabwe must serve Africans now, not Europeans.

So there must a period of adjustment as Africans build their own economic ties that are of benefit to Africans.

The correct measure of progress should be how the economy was before Europeans invaded the lands to how it is now.

I'm from Tunisia (still bitter about 1996 afcon final, you didn't let our team sleep and kept playing loud music and threatening them all night long 😄) but it's ok Esperance will beat SunDowns fair and square let me tell you something.
It was inevitable even if ANC was more competent. You can't have a sense of nationality if people don't suffer together, if the black problems don't become white problems and vice versa load shedding is a metaphor for pain sharing and if some people refuse to share your pain then you can't call them compatriots.
Let them rich bastards leave, as a saying in Tunisia goes, only the stones remain in the river's bed (which implies that surface impurities will sooner or later get washed away). They would've left for another reason even if your economy was doing well. Suffer together and have faith in God for nationality is the child of hardship!

Love to our southern brothers from the northern top of Africa to the southern tip, the cape of good hope, never give up hope my friends!

If Nelson Mandela were alive today he would be incredibly mad & upset to see what has happened in South Africa. He'd have no problem speaking the truth about the ANC & their responsibility for almost all of SA's problems. Sadly, at this point, it seems like just a matter of time until the country completely collapses. Getting rid of the ANC & their corruption would help, hopefully allowing the healing to begin & law & order to be reinstalled… but that feels like a pipe dream at this point, how sad

it took over 80 years for America to consolidate itself as a modern industrial state from 1760. New Zealand has a population of less than 6 million that its government and economy can provide services and jobs to. South Africa had 23 million disenfranchised black people in 1995, of a total 32.5 million, whilst South Africa's total external debt, in US dollar terms, increased at a compounded annual growth rate of 8.0% from US$29.7 billion at the end of 1994 to US$173.3 billion at the end of 2017. There is no excuse for the rampant incompetence and corruption under the ANC – its failed to meet its own expectations and meet its promises, but its disingenuous to compare it to middle income economies that lacked the inequality and social conditions comparable to those that existed in South Africa. Under apartheid, industry, commerce and nearly all white households including remote farms, enjoyed secure and reliable electricity connections, while few black townships and informal settlements had access. Until 1994, approximately one-third of the population was connected to the grid.
