00:00:00 Tanzania – The Witch Hunters
In the first six months of 2017 nearly 500 women have been murdered in Tanzania, accused of being witches.
Filming with investigators, survivors and witch doctors, Ade Adepitan investigates this sudden spike in brutal violence towards women, and uncovers how relatives are manipulating old beliefs to steal money and land from older women.

Johannesburg is known as the City of Gold because it sits on the biggest gold reserves in the world. It is also home to a thriving illegal gold mining industry that is devastating communities. Seyi Rhodes uncovers the precarious lives of the illegal miners, and the South Africans who live in towns where crime is so rife that they are cut off from services and even become no-go zones for police and ambulance crews.
Plus for guys who presumably never used such go pros etc, they did a pretty damn good job of recording editable footage.
Well one can not get any gold simply by randomly blowing up any old rock. These guys are either geologists versed in determining what are gold bearing ores or they aren't. Even if they did remove gold bearing ore it would need to be in the range of 100's of tonnes, not something which a bunch of people can do like you are showing.
Zimbabwe my Country 😭
I love your docs
Then people will label South Africans xenophobic when they speak against such
Zimbabwe has gold though. Yet they found South Africa to be a suitable target for their illegal activities.
dnt live whr poor people live …..i left zimbabwe and will never have a future thr …its the ways of the poor tht drives such acts
God is incredibly cruel.

Watching 'South Africa's Deadly Gold Rush & Tanzania's Witch Hunt' left me with a mix of emotions – empathy for the victims and frustration with the systemic issues. The documentary effectively exposes the darker aspects of human nature, but I couldn't help but feel that the narratives were oversimplified and sensationalized. This paradox highlights the complexity of the human condition, capable of both cruelty and resilience. As a viewer, I'm compelled to consider the moral gray areas and approach these issues with nuance, empathy, and a deeper understanding of the underlying contexts.
Do y'all see what foreigners really do in SA?
Seems like the apartheid was better for them.
You wanna see power. I curse every single one of you that tries anything of the dark side. Any of you so-called voodoo puppets. I curse you. This world belongs to the positive and we will do whatever it takes to restore order
The law of this Country is useless
The south agrican gold rush part is old , from 2014 I think
South African police are busy making tiktok, how can these Zama zama operate freely in the open?
Thats why they are flocking to SA, they get caught in neighbouring countries where police are not allowed to spend the whole day making dance videos and jokes on social media
This reporter is way professional than others empathy n sympathy keep this real🖤
great documentary
Finally ya'll gave out the complete witch hunt. Still the only really accurate translates in a documentary about Tanzania. Im Tanzanian.
I now understand why South Africans fight Zimbabweans. How can you leave ur country and then go to SA and go get their property Gold that belongs to them no way.
Zimbabweans are Nigerians in Southern Africa. And Kenyans are Nigerians in East Africa hmmmm
A failed state 😢 which failed its citizens
In South Africa they are destroying infrastructures and the ruling organisation work with the zama zamas; 4 episodes of the gold mafia and one of pipeline of rhino horn; no law or order; from 47 million to 100 million citizens in 30 years and still counting; turned SA into a mafia gangster state with a crime war on our hands with no proper security forces in place 😢
It's a re upload

Zim leadership is to blame yes, but also Sanctions affect ordinary people way more, for instance the leaders and their families are living it large, ordinary people are suffering. Sanctions don't work.
Phandani boBhudas
Obviously they won't tell you that they found gold.
Prisons in this country are hellish
So it is true that Foreign nationals rape south africans then turn around and mock the country about having highest rape stats. 😯. Why are neighbours destroying south africa?
😢😢I feel for that lady that got raped. She’s so brave for sharing her story. Strength to her.
Any second is wrong in this country ,,, education failure and socialism
