South African refugee says ‘I didn’t come to US for fun’ | BBC News

South African Charl Kleinhaus had defended his new US refugee status in a BBC interview, saying he fled his Mpumalanga farm after death threats.

He is one of 59 Afrikaners who are being resettled in the US under a controversial Trump administration policy. President Donald Trump said the Afrikaners were victims of “racial discrimination”.

  1. We seen the videos and pictures so stop
    Putting out fake news work for beast of demons deep swamp
    Puppet Master puppets on string of deep swamp creatures

  2. The refugee is australian for sure ..i am sure he is not a farmer. He is only a character in the drama of President Trump ,who couldn't sleep few night just trying to find ways to trap the president of south Africa 😊

  3. The global perspective is significantly misguided in believing that vetting is necessary. I am a white South African woman, positioned second last on the BEEE level criteria. Afrikaans men find themselves at the lowest tier of the social hierarchy. Regardless of qualifications, any major corporation—of which I could name several prominent ones in South Africa—will not even consider your job application. Job advertisements explicitly state BEE requirements, which effectively excludes white individuals from applying, as it prioritizes African or people of color. My partner, who is not from South Africa and possesses 20 years of experience in his field, is unable to submit a tender due to the corruption and BEE level of his business, as he does not have a 'black' partner or a person of color. Thus, this situation is, in reality, jeopardizing the livelihoods of all white South Africans. All white individuals are undoubtedly facing discrimination. Our educational institutions are mandated to maintain a compulsory ratio that favors the black majority. It is imperative that world leaders intervene, as this issue has persisted for many years.

    When examining the demographics, one might ponder whether this could be perceived as a genocide against white farmers, it is most definitely!!

  4. The left is jumping all over this fantasy that they were fast-tracked. People that have no experience with immigration over the last 20 or so years the Democrats have been stonewalling everybody from every country that's not Latin American. They don't want people that are coming to America because they want to live the American dream. They want to import garbage that wants to tear this country apart and loot and pillage it. I worked at a company that hired a lot of Eastern Europeans generally from the stans. They were constantly showing me immigration paperwork where they were trying to get like their parents into the country and they didn't understand the legal backwash that they were getting. My immediate boss had spent close to 6 years trying to get his parents into this country they had been approved he had bought the plane tickets they were due in in 2 months. He gets a letter from immigration saying too bad so sad you're going to have to start the process over because we reallocated those spots to help cover the massive influx of Latin American immigrants.

  5. The media have largely ignored South Africa since apartheid was ended, as if a magic wand made everything better. Maybe white people are really victims of racism there, maybe not. But as soon as I heard her say that one man had made an anti Jewish post, I saw the spin the bbc is putting on it, by undermining his reputation. He could be anti Jewish AND the victim of racism. Biased media.

  6. Two persons look at him with a side glance and suddenly he cries discrimination, "so we need to go to America", 👏👏👏. What took you so long to leave? One family less to oppress my people, thank you Trump.

  7. Just like some who have the right to live in a country….all i read is how blacks hate america but they are too lazy or scared to go to africa…their so called mother land….

  8. Genocide is defined under international law, specifically in the 1948 United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide as:

    "Any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:"

    1. Killing members of the group;
    2. Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
    3. Deliberately inflicting conditions of life calculated to bring about the group’s physical destruction;
    4. Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
    5. Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

    The key legal elements are:
    1.A targeted group (national, ethnic, racial, or religious), and
    2.Intent to destroy the group, in whole or in part.

    1. The Targeted Group Must Be a National, Ethnic, Racial, or Religious Group
    In South Africa:
    Claims of genocide typically focus on white South Africans, particularly white farmers. White South Africans are a racial group, so this criterion could be met if the attacks were specifically and systematically aimed at them as a group.

    2. There Must Be Intent to Destroy the Group (in Whole or in Part)
    This is the most critical element—called "dolus specialis" or special intent.
    The perpetrators must intend to eliminate the group, not just harm individuals.

    In South Africa:
    No evidence exists that attacks on white farmers are part of a coordinated plan to destroy white people.
    These crimes are isolated, often economically motivated, and not limited to one group (many black South Africans are also victims of violent crime).
    South African courts and human rights organizations have not found any evidence of genocidal intent behind farm murders or violent crimes.

    3. Acts Must Be of a Genocidal Nature (e.g., killing, serious harm, conditions leading to destruction)

    In South Africa:
    Yes, murders and violence do occur, but they happen across all racial and economic groups.
    The acts themselves (e.g., killings) are horrific, but without genocidal intent, they do not amount to genocide under international law.
    High crime rates in South Africa (including murder, robbery, etc.) affect many communities and are primarily linked to socioeconomic factors, not racial extermination.

    4. The Acts Must Be Systematic or Widespread (in practice, for international prosecution)

    In South Africa:
    There is no pattern of state-sponsored or systematic extermination of any group.
    The government is not participating in or ignoring a plan to destroy a racial group.
    Authorities investigate farm murders and other crimes (though effectiveness may vary).

    The term "genocide" does not apply to the "South African genocide"

    There is no official or legally recognized genocide happening in South Africa under international law or according to credible international organizations like the UN or the ICC. However, some groups (especially online or in political contexts) have used the term "white genocide" or "farm murders" to describe attacks on white South African farmers, arguing that they are targeted due to their race. These claims are not supported by evidence of genocidal intent and have been rejected by experts, including:

    The South African Human Rights Commission,
    Afrikaans agricultural unions, and
    International observers.

    Most violence in South Africa is linked to high crime rates, poverty, and inequality, not coordinated racial extermination.

    In Conclusion:
    Genocide is the "crime of crimes", and calling something genocide carries immense legal and moral weight. Misusing the term can diminish real genocides (e.g., Rwanda, Holocaust, Bosnia), so it’s applied with caution by courts and human rights bodies.

    Genocide involves intentional destruction of a group.
    There is no legal or factual basis for calling the current situation in South Africa a genocide.

    Claims of "South African genocide" are politically charged and widely discredited in the legal and human rights communities.

  9. Afrikaans are not refugees. They are colonizers just like white European Americans seeing how America is still colonized! The audacity! And there’s no white genocide in Africa! Black people are killed more than whites, even there! But yet again white people want every excuse to play the victim instead of being fhe racist🤡 CRINGE! White South African Refugees, really? If this was true, where is the international outcry? Where are the rest of them? I follow a Boer influencer from Namibia, who’s family owns a farm, and he makes daily content, if this supposed white genocide was an actual thing, then why isn’t he posting about it? Instead he lives a normal and happy life with his family on their farm!

    “racial discrimination”? White isn’t even a color let alone a skin color rather the lack of color aka melanin. And white people can’t experience racism. Not how it works🤣🤣🤣🫣👀🫠
