that should help propel South Africa and the
African continent as a whole. Into some very
profitable pathways for the future. Itâs about
time that Africa can develop its significant
indigenous natural resources , to benefit
the countries of Africa. The West has
squandered your resources for long
enough, extracting raw materials and
pocketing most of the profits at the expense
of the countries of Africa. With
proper planning and foresight, Africa
should be able to benefit from the
development of its indigenous resources
which are plentiful, and reap the profits
from such resources to bring up
standards of living throughout the
continent. The BRICS nations should
be able to facilitate that for many
nations in Africa, in the coming years.
Africa is no longer limited by the
exploitative policies of the Western
corporations, that have cheated it
if the wealth from resource extractive
companies. What Naledi Pandor
outlined in her talk here, should hold
great promise for South Africa and
the rest of the continent. I hope her
suggestions are pursued, as it would
be in the interest of all nations in
Africa to follow up on these
proposals.
