What is that sloppy pap you gave them you know that we eat stywe pap or stiff pap cooked with braai vlais what you served them is breakfast porridge how could you do that it’s offensive to South African people to serve the slop you gave them where is the toasted bread with the onion and tomato in between and where’s the potato salad geez you let yourself down you should be ashamed to say you are South African
Wine from Fishhoek! SA wines are exceptional ❤
this made my heart so happy. saffa food is AMAZING.
Ebbers snook is a very popular game fish in florida during the season you are only aloud to keep one per person per day
Word is that the French chefs found it distasteful when South African patrons covered their finely prepared French cuisine in the likes of tomato sauce, chutney or Worcester sauce. And so, out of frustration, they combined the pantry condiments to create a sauce and named it “monkey gland sauce". So it's actually a French creation.
LOL! That's not Snoek Bru!
I like biltong.
We have the best food, winery and beverages in the entire continent. I’m not even being bias, ESPECIALLY with our wines
This was awesome….. the monkey gland sauce caught me abit off guard. Also, not everyone has pap at their braais. Next time, make them our famous potjie
Black South African eat pap daily
Sorry I grew up with Tomato Breedie …… and it’s much better than Chakalaka 🙂 same same
It’s a pity he could not get snoek. Cooked skin down on a braai with lemon butter. So good.
I really enjoyed the video, however, I would like to debunk the myth that fermenting marula fruit intoxicates animals! There isn't enough alcohol to do that! About 30 plus years ago Jamie Uys and Mimosa Films produced a movie "Beautiful People" which did very well at the box office with drunk animals stumbling all over the place after ostensibly eating marula fruit. What nobody knew is that the marula fruit had been spiked with copious amounts of alcohol. The producers wont admit it as they could be sued for cruelty to animals in todays climate. It's the animal antics which made the movie such a hit! That is the absolute truth so please stop perpetuating the lie!
I live close to marula trees, when the fruit has been lying in the sun they start to smell boozie!
Hope the boeries wasn't overcooked!
The sweet salty paring in Korean is called danjan-danjan… but i think that there's something like it in most cultures
Should have given them a Springbokkie! 😂
The malva pudding with Amarula shocked me. I didn't know we did that… 😳
Ok,im south african but i have never heard of monkey gland sauce in my life😐😑😐😑😐
that is just a tomato relish not chakalaka, its missing robot peppers and carrots
I want to know how that cheesey pap was made
In our household, we ate the corn meal for breakfast with sugar and butter. My mother used to make it with stick cinnamon for a little bit of flavour.
I love your channel but I have to say that in this excellent video, it's hard to hear and understand him over the background music.
Love the food though!
As a South African what in the world is monkey gland sauce I don't think that can be considered a South African dish
You lost me at “pap” I’m a Cape Town coloured and we don’t eat “pap”, we eat mash potatoe 😂
Absolutely Brilliant !!!!
That is not Chakalaka

Snoek is nowhere near makarel! It's far larger and more like barracuda.
