South Africa parliamentary elections: Political parties focus on crime & corruption
Political parties in South Africa are on the campaign trail ahead of next month’s parliamentary elections.
The governing African National Congress is expected to face a tough challenge.
Its parliamentary majority could be threatened for the first time since the party came to power in 1994.
Some politicians have turned to populist rhetoric…

Al jezeera seems tooobe in the pocket of stellenbosch? Their bias against the EFF
Why after apartheid why is SA is free why do whites still own 72% SA is Black, not white and Western Cape must go now the ANC is over they had over 10 years years to correct the issue and have not or the are very slow they are almost a mirror to the white West corruption a go – a go, now if I was a SA I would vote for Malema back in SA Black African hands as it should be, the other parties are cool, but something is missing, they need to correct now our the will become a true PUPPET FOR THE WEST AND BE 100% WHITE, WITH SOME BACK FACES, PLEASE TELL MY IF NOT APARTHEID WHY DO WHITE SA HAVE 72% OF THE LAND AND STILL YET BLACK AFRICANS ARE UNDERED PAID, BUT THEY ARE TRUE AFRICANS, NOT INVADERS FROM EUROPE, ETC. 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Rubbish reporting! Economic Freedom Fighters are known for being a voice of the voiceless, particularly black people! Why does the media give useless parties like Action SA so much airtime? Al Jazeera sometimes sounds like the media houses they complain about, like BCC, CNN. I didn't subscribe for this bias nonsense!
Zero research about the South African political landscape
This guy does not know what he's talking about. The DA does not support secession.
F**k this country, god left bye
Poor reporting. Calling a man racist and not justifying your statement is inflammatory reporting!
Poor journalism. I thought i would learn something new but this lady talks about xenophobia as if it's a constant issue in SA, when that situation happened over 8 years ago i think, meanwhile European countries like UK, France, Italy and even the US call it an "immigration crisis" but when it's SA its called "xenophobia". By the way, just by the way that word doesn't make South Africans feel bad anymore because it had been overused and abused so much that it doesn't even hold any significance anymore when you call a SAn xenophobic, it's like calling a person anti-semitic nowadays. You don't even feel bad anymore being called anti-Semitic infact you even want to agree that you are just to spite them😂😂Same thing
The analyst is running with the populist narrative, not backed by evidence on the ground. He throws 30 years around with a tinge of dishonesty. South Africa was doing well until zuma became president around 2009. Sandile has developed selective memory about zuma's and that of his cronnies massive role in state capture. He does not mention this because it's not compatible with his anti anc narrative.
Viva EFF
Great journalism Al Jazeera, pretty transparent tbh.
Ah yes, the EFFs Julius – Juju bean, the Jojo drum of jealously.
That man is a plague on SA.
Radical racist and black supremacist and nationalist mentality. He is such a lost human being. So full of Hatred.
The ANC unfortunately has failed SA as they could not contain or eradicate their corruption. Such a shame.
Action SA or the Patriotic Alliance seems like the only 'good' options.
SA is in a dark part of its development – No pun intended.
This is a nonsensical analysis by the reporter. Trying to influence the outcome of the elections. Al Jazeera needs to give SA space and stop interfering with nonsensical analysis
Poor journalism, you guys like to paint SA xenophobic while our country currently issue includes unstable power supply and you unemployment. You did not mentioned anything about ANC ICJ if it will gain voter by trying to assist Palestinians
DA does not support Cape Independence
As a pan-Africanist, I strongly believe Julius doesn't mean anything he says. He's a popuIist, not unlike Turmp. Same for Zuma. And in the case of the latter, we already know what he'll do for the country (nothing good). And then there's the DA which is basically a prooxy of the USA. We need better leaders, honestly.
This is lazy reporting. No inclusion or reference to the official opposition which also governs several cities and a province. ActionSA hasn't yet even got a single parliamentary seat.
EFF will save South Africa and the real South African people.
Let's move in solidarity for Africa to unite. Don't vote for white puppet leaders and racist white parties. The unification of blacks in supporting a strong party (EFF) is crucial. This is about Africa future and breaking of generational chains of white supremacy and manipulations. Whites' plans are to split majority South Africans voters with so many parties to vote for and thereby reduce the voters counts of those political parties, giving favourable chance for DA and AWB to win the election.
Why so many political parties? It is a strategy to decimate Black votes.
VOTE EFF!
Funny the EFF is described as advocating for open borders and a nationalist party at the same time.
Aljeezera got it wrong the nationalist party is Action SA than the EFF
Poor reporting, you know nothing about South African Politics
AJ is racist reporting!
South africa is a fine example of a failed state that is plagued by corruption, bribery and dodgy bbbeee deals. the politicians themselves are thieves. every soe has been looted. investors are one foot out of the door. literally basic services are crumbling.
Yea Al Jazeera should’ve probably sat this one out.
Poor journalism here… AJ?
