ANC didn’t want to come with radical changes because it was going to cause civil unrest to avoid that they tried not to take land from apartheid beneficiaries and colonial beneficiaries. But gradually to let Africans and previous disadvantaged citizens go be on the advantage stage through having learnership, NSFAS and BEE. But most of the previously disadvantaged citizens are not taking advantage and opportunities that are available for them seriously. The other problem we still have in South Africa 🇿🇦 is education system is still favours the apartheid and colonial descendants. Education is not to be linguistic is to comprehend your studies without over thinking while you study 📖 because most indigenous people are studying with a foreign language and is demanding in terms of comprehension is the reason why most Afrikaners are fighting for their language not to be taken away from the schools because they know they are going to struggle to study with English as they are used to studying in Afrikaans their language.
Apartheid was doing well for apartheid dependents because everything was in their own language that they understand better and on top of that they were given free pass on their studies as it was mentioned by one of the fees must fall activist on one of the podcast. Most Afrikaners were taught by our ancestors and today it’s so hard for blacks South Africans to be taught by Afrikaners I am speaking from the experience because I experienced first hand. It is not easy for Afrikaners to transfer skills to black South Africans like our ancestors did for them. ANC municipalities are failing today because they were not skilled enough to ran municipalities most people with skills are not willing to transfer skills to them so that ANC may fail. I remember when i was working in one of province that was full of Afrikaners my ex-wife used to come home telling me about how they force her to speak Afrikaans and she couldn’t understand and speak Afrikaans and we had to relocate to other parts of the country where she could speak English with the clients.
