South Africa informal miners standoff: Church leaders blocked from delivering food to miners
Church leaders in South Africa say they’re trying to deliver food to hundreds of informal miners who’ve been underground for weeks or possibly months.
Police, who‘ve stopped community members from accessing the shaft since last week, say all those below ground are criminals and they’re refusing to come out.
