It's not just enough to identify the problem, everyone can see it. Spill the beans. This right here is the problem with Nigeria, everyone keeps pointing out the problem but nobody wants to do what it takes to fix. An erected governor is the highest person to fight for his state but he's here just talking. No solution in sight 😮😮😮.

Maybe next time, when a politician running for president talks about Devolution, the political elite at least would listen and would convey the message to their constituents and their followers!

Devolving power from the centre to the states is one of the better ways to govern in a federation!

State police, state resource control, states direct investments, states internally generated revenues!

And within the states, complete autonomy to local governments!

All this talk of state governors not knowing what is going on in their states would be a thing of the past.

In a mere 5 years after such a political restructuring is agreed , Nigeria would walk tall!

Our political system as it stands today , is just quasi democracy, we are still suffering from the hangover of military junta regimes!

    Reforms Now!!

    👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!!

Where is the police IG and those in the army that are ready for peaceful protest? This is their work; let them come forward and answer this question: the reason why they have still not been able to defeat bandits.

It's Bello Matawalle the previous governor of Zamfara and the current Minister of State's defense. Only him has that such power and is notoriously known for favoring negotiations with the bandits.

And the bandits agree to negotiate with these people ,knowing fully well that these people have no power to negotiate? You as governor are the one who has power so people would prefer to negotiate with you. This makes no sense. I don't believe you.

So in Zamfara, somebody somewhere, somehow, is taking action in the state without the involvement of the 'Cheif Security Officer' of the state. In Kano, the police is taking unilateral decisions without the involvement of the 'Cheif Security Officer'. In fact it's worse in Kano, since the CP actually in flagrant contempt of the State govt, disobeys direct instructions of the 'chief security officer'. So who is responsible for this abuse of power? Who is really in charge?

This trend is concerning…. very concerning indeed.

I read in someone's comment that there are people more powerful than the president and i totally agree with this person. Who are this people?

Nigeria is a state that does not know how to enforce law, we don't know how to stand up against opprrssors there by giving the oppressors the power to rule us even after leaving office. There are past governments that are still tactically involved in government even when their regime is gone. They have loyalist that listens to them. One example is wike and fubara😂. Godfatherism is the word. Wike has loyalist in fubara's government, that's messed up because instead of them to align with the current government to provide good services to the people, they instead listen to Godfathers. Thesame thing applies in our society. Elders are looked up to like people that have the ultimate say, they're without mistakes, etc. This country's system has failed jare. Regional government is the way

If there's negotiations going on behind you as the governor, then it practically means that you are not in charge of that state. Your terms of office would end yet the problem remain in place. Shameless politicians all over the place.
