Some Senators Were Given Projects Worth N500 Million, Not For Their Pockets -Agom-Jarigbe

Some senators had more funding in their senatorial districts, and some of us had less. There was no need to go to the press.
Senator Jarigbe Agom-Jarigbe, Cross River North, PDP

  1. 3.7trillion was a fallacy, is this suppose to be a joke. Budget padding, just say it. It's not new.

You said he shouldnt have talk to the press rather he suppose to have discuss with the house, which house, senate house has never been know to do the honourable thing, this present one (HoS) is even worst, you guys collect cash and totally sideline your primary purpose. Why so quick to suspend him (Ninji), He pointed out irregularities/fraudulent items and repetition of items, you never address that, instead you guys move motion to suspend.

  2. Senators and House of Reps members have no business doing ANY projects whatsoever!
    Constituency Projects?
These individuals in the Legislature are major criminals, fraudsters, oppressors and dictators who are bleeding the country DRY!

  3. Equity should be the rule and not the exception when it comes to sharing and allocationg funds for constituency projects among the Senators. Since, the country decided in her wisdom, to give equal slots of 3 Senatorial Districts to each state, it is not proper to give more priority and lion shares to principal officers of either chamber of the National Assembly for critical projects spanning health, education, poverty alleviation, roads, street lights, water boreholes, etc. Why on earth will the Senate President's constituency enjoy an allocation of over ₦21 billion while others receive inequitable sums ranging from ₦500m-₦2b. Haba!!

  4. The senate was too hasty it its verdict. If issue s are not clear , some not respecting the budgeting and accounting norms why didnt the senate investigate the allegations and correct and do the right thing before punishing the senator. No room for freedom of speech and thinking.

  5. It's not everything that needs to go to the press. That's not the way the real world works. The Ningi man's words should not be solely taken far above everyone's words. Nigeria is experiencing a lot of difficulty and everything about leadership is demonised, however, to think that any country is run by a host of angels is a laughable joke. It was right for Ningi to be suspended

  6. Someone who has better understanding should help me please. Are they not just law makers. What business do they have with executing projects. I don't understand.

  7. Just imagine the kind of people representing us in the senate. His emphasis was why will Ningi address the press when in the press he was among the senator who championed Ningi to speak out.

  8. How on earth is weed smoker like this one became a senator in Nigeria? God help us. Rufai and Ayo need to reinvite the one that looks like senor agboro responding on the influence of alcohol and weed.

  9. Things like this is exactly why they did not want Peter Obi, because this would not happen. These guys (senators) are playing with Nigerians. None, and I say NONE of them actually have in mind to make lives of Nigerians better….this is so SAD.

  10. The northerners are not are not happy when they don't 70%-80% of the budget in their favor
When buhari was in power; it is one Nigeria but now it's the northerners ☹️
    Tribalism may ruin this country

  11. This obong of calabar will be suspended for 3 weeks for talking too much. Senate animal farm, not all Senators are created equal. Some get 120bN and others get 1bN. All Labour Party Senators should be recalled immediately.

  12. Who hired this woman for a job that involves scrutinising political guests and extracting as much truth as possible? She's better suited as a newscaster than an interrogator. In 9ja politics, there's no room for a soft approach.

  13. What a shame, one would think by now their skin, hair and clothes would be made of gold and diamond by now, am surprised to see that the clothes and design this senators are the same with the ones I have in my wardrobe, am sure the wine and food they eat is the same as the one am eating, unless there is cow, turkey and chicken from Mars and moon, so why are they accumulating all this wealth they can't finish till they die, in the detriment of Nigeria and its citizens.

  14. With such humongous sum, they spend less than a quarter of it on their constituency, they say its their personal contribution to the constituents, and followers start worshipping them. Senator adeola yayi is on this table. He is one of the biggest fakes and thieves in the Senate.

  15. This man is saying something completely different from what he said on the floor of the house. All of them in the house are culpable. So sad that opposition is largely silent. This is what NLC should campaign for. Demand all of them in both houses earn minimum wage with benefits the rest of us enjoy (aka no benefits).

  16. WHEN IT CONCERNS THEM ,THEY REMEMBER THE RULES HAS TO BE OBEYED NOW THEY CALL IT CIVILIAN COUP…….WHAT ABOUT ELECTION COUP,JUDICIARY COUP AND RIGGING OF THE ELECTION ….THE RULES DOES NOT MATTER……PUTTING CRIMINALS IN POSITION LIKE AKPABIO WELL KNOWN CRIMINAL IN THE SOCIETY…….SHAME TO ALL OF YOU……SEE WHAT BURKINA FASO PRESIDENT IS DOING FOR HIS PEOPLE WITH PASSION……UNTIL ALL POLITICAL CRIMINALS ARE JAILED AND ALL MONEY STOLEN RECOVER FROM THEM ,WE ALL ARE IN FOR A JOKE.
