Radio Hargeisa was founded by the British in 1943 and was managing it till the independence day of 26.06 1960; and from there onwards managed by the Somali Republic till 1991. It is a Somali treasure that gave Hargeisa its famous nickname: mother of the Somali art, a larger name than the one exhorted here. We must be proud of that and I am.
