British 🇬🇧 Somaliland got its independence from Great Britain on 26 Jun 1960 before the failed Somalia 🇸🇴 had no sovereignty meaning Somaliland sovereignty is older than the failed Somalia-Italy. We have to respect the colonial borders as an African Union approach. I wonder if Somalia-Italy call USA a break away region of England????? What about the MoU between Somaliland and Somalia-Italy in July 1960?? Is it a politically a legal agreement ?? We all know the MoU about the political union between Somaliland and Somalia-Italy was never implemented as legal agreement. That is why the Somalia-Italy political argument is always messy.

This tension is the sole making and manufacture of Ethiopia and its immature and belligerent leader. All Somalia is asking for Ethiopia now, and rightly so, is to stay clear from meddling its internal affairs, including immediately withdrawing the presence of its marauding army militia from within its borders in pretex of peacekeeping mission. That isn't too much to ask. As for expulsion of misbehaving and spy diplomats as persona non grata and according to Vienna's corps diplomatic conventions, Somalia has reserved for every rght to take a lawful action against. This is normal diplomatic norms when an inter-state relations of any two nations sours and the basic trust is eroded or violated by one side or another. And in this case, Ethiopia has clearly and flagrantly violated and abused that simple trust and conduct when it openly stated that it will illegaly and willingly violate Somalia's national sovreignity and its territorial integrity. There no other legal recourse for Somalia but to stand up for its legal obligation and rights and welfare of its citizens as a sovereign nation among the world community of nations.

The relationship between the two nations cannot develop or thrive at this moment without the patience and respect shown by the Somali government. Somalia has every right to protect its territorial sovereignty. Meanwhile, Ethiopia is trying to exert its influence over Somalia in areas like politics and security. Despite this pressure, Somalia is firmly resisting any interference, even if it comes with significant challenges or costs.
