  1. It’s unacceptable what the president wants, he’s trying to destroy federalism and sharing power of government, all the power under one individual isn’t going to work. He even wants to select the commission of states election, is not only that! The 329 members of parliament in both chambers will be only symbolic, also the prime minister and his office will be symbolic too.

  2. President Hassan Sheikh has subverted the constitution of the Federal Government of Somalia. The President is attempting to emulate Djibouti's President, Mr. Gelle, and extend his tenure in office. However, thanks to the Puntland government, which consistently defends the country's constitution and advocates for Somali clans without a voice.

  3. The current Somali government was the product of Puntland. Without Puntland blood and money, we wouldn't be seeing government in Somalia. Remember when Mogadishu was the graveyard of the world, the most dangerous city in world controlled by terrorist and warlords. It was Puntland who built this government from scratch and it looks like we are heading back to the 90s chaos lawlessness anarchy, that's why Puntland is worried frustrated seeing all the work being undone by foreign puppet dictator president and his mafia in Mogadishu.

  5. Matt Brayden and his think tank “Sahan” are a destabilizing factor in Somali governance. He’s been expelled from Somalia and declared persona non grata.

  6. The approved law is not effective and does not have enough support because it was rejected and opposed by the Puntland government. Therefore, the attempts made by the parliament and Hasan Sheikh have failed.

  7. The government of Qatar should respect us Somalis, since we are brotherly countries, so please don’t interview this madman Brayden!

  8. Only 4 chapters out of the 15 chapters had been reviewed so far. After 2 months of serous debate. Some contradictions has been removed and necessary amendments had been made. All 5 member states as well as Somaliland representative of both houses voted. It did not go the way Puntland would prefer. That is the reality of Democracy.

  9. President who control only one city is not a president and Somalia Will never accept a dictatorship constitution and these powerless president has no power or mandate to approve or apply out of Mogadishu. Just a waste time Somalia will never be a nation will only disintegrate.

  10. A strong centralised government is what we need in Somalia. One man one vote is the solution. Don't let the white man scare you in this day and age you can vote from anywhere. semi-autonomous states AKA maamul gobaled is a big part of the problem.

  11. That mercenary shouldnt be interviewed. Hes very controversial with shady dealings. I would advice aljazeera to stop racism and interview Somalis.

  12. MATT Nailed the real truth on the ground this one, All president Hassan is looking for is a way to stay longer in office and doesn't care what his actions could bring in future of Somalia

  13. Hutus angry 😭 in the comments, my sincere apologies to Somaliland now I understand how these fail states force you to be in a relationship you don’t want
