  1. I think the police should have been sent for this peacekeeping and not the Army! The police department are properly equipped to handle a community fued as this one in Okuama. However, those who attacked the soldiers must come forward to tell their own side of the story. Hiding or running will not help anyone in a situation like this. We must know what the really causes, that peoples lives were wasted like that! It's unacceptable to everybody.

  2. What was the cause of the killing of those Soldiers?
So those Soldiers came to that communities and did nothing and the militants just started killing them??
I can still remember that APC TERRORISTS signed contract with the militants to guard oil and gas pipe lines for them, the militants also swaped LP’s votes to APC, what is their problems now?
Over 70 Nigerian military was also slaughtered in Bornu State a day after that of Delta. why nothing is heard about those 70?

  3. Mike Ejiofor,i like your objective analysis of the situation in Okuama;(&other references ).
I only defer when you said Nigeria should invite foreigners to come help us with investigation(s).

  4. Try and think outside the box ….

This military terrorism ignited from Niger delta is strategic. …
    ▪︎1. Tending towards Alaigbo
They have conquered Middlebelt and have moved heavily in to Enugu and Ebonyi last week.
    ▪︎2. Tending towards Alaigbo.

  5. Don't worry Nigerians. The military has voiced out the death of their comrades. I hope they should still analyse and amend the errors and mistakes of their comrades too who lost their lives as a result of some disgruntled, frivolous political manipulations. May their Soul rest in peace!
Nigerians should be mindful in the way they handle this matter not to cause any communal conflict in Delta State. Because we have come far from communal crisis. Okuama communities is now being watched and any oppressor or manipulator who wants to erase the Okuama community will be careful now. It is like this manipulation has been for long. As said before, here in Delta we live with the Nigerian military and no community or community thugs will open fire on any military man in uniform, save for the sake that the uniform man has committed atrocity and plunders. We respect men in uniforms.
I believe and trust my Governor will look into the issue concretely and unbiased Deltans will do the needful for the truth to be unraveled.
Nigerians dont be miopic look deep and investigate before conclusion.

  6. But we're those institutions like the national boundary commissions saddle with the responsibility of settling land disputes within Waring communities all over Nigeria, before these very incident. It's funny enough to be outspoken, severally this happens whereas,no single can ever come to speak the truth, except security agencies are drafted into that matter. In fact I'm short of words. God bless Nigeria.

  7. Stop sending northern military men to make peace in south, from the comments northerns they want to whip us out, how Nigeria military sent all northern soldiers to make peace in nija delta

  8. People keep calling on foreign professional to solve our security challenges. They forget that foreign operators come with a steep price for the people. You just have to look at Congo with all the foreign aids they have.
Foreigners always have their own agenda and will go about it in the guise of solving your problem. We should be wise.
These killings will not happen and in the manner it happened without an express order from someone on the corridors of power. We know who they are.

  9. My list of Independent Probe Committee
    1. Femi Falana
    2. Col. Dangiwa Umar
    3. Representative of the Army
    4. Representative of DSS
    5. Representative of Police
    6. Representative of Journalist
    7. Prof. Odinkalu
    8. Representative of Civil Society
    9. Representative of federal DOJ
10.Representative of State DOJ {from Delta State]

  10. Even the compensation and benefits might not even get to the hands of the immediate family, this is a clear sign that Nigeria as a country is failing, , and the truth in the matter might never come out because, if you clear the area how are people now going to find evidence to settle the issue

  11. The questions of these interviewers are biased and leading. What's their concern for the innocent civilians who lost their lives? And whose village are razed in reprisal? Spare a thought for the community also.

  12. Thank you, Mike Ejiofor for having the courage and wisdom to tackle this issue dispassionately. Indeed only an Independent investigative Probe can go to the roots of what transpired, and recommend further meaningful solutions…

  13. It is disappointing that this DSS man thinks the military is to blame.Any such dastardly act against the military of any nation is a direct attack on the basic structure of such a nation.
How can you say on National tv that soldiers burned down the village when you have no proof.
The culprits must be dealt with if the Nigerian military and in turn Nigeria must remain intact

  14. The army needs to be reformed, too many northerners are in the military and so many of them are eighter bandits in uniform, informants to the bandits, or sponsors of the bandits. the incidents at Okoloba might have been committed by the bandits from the north just to destabilize the south. The criminals might have fled to the north while the army searched for them in the south.

  15. God bless you and your seeds for saying what many are shying away from including the state governor. It takes courage to speak the objective truth.

  16. Until the military purges itself of politics and political influences which corrupt the men and bring in greed, such disaster and "arifin" will continue. It is a big shame what the Nigerian military has turned itself into. A shadow of the force I wanted to join.

  17. Any list of terrorist sponsors that does not include El Rufai who confessed he and others brought in Boko haram to destabilize G.E.J's government, and Shettima in whose house a wanted terrorist was found lounging, is not a list.

  18. Mr. Mike Ejiofor, I salute you. An INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATIVE PANEL MUST BE SET UP TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF IT. A Lt. Colonel, a Major, and a Captain involvement, shows that there are men/women in high places who want's this village razed. Also, have in mind that TY DANJUMA did implicate the millitary as colluding with the criminal bandits. Mazi Ejiofor, some of you should wake up. You cannot because yhou are getting some meager money from retirement, turn a blind eye against the killings of your people.
