The passion fruit is today one of Kenya’s most popular fruits for both export and domestic markets. Small-scale farmers are increasingly taking up cultivation of the fruit encouraged by the sweet returns from sales. Now in a bid to improve earnings, farmers are value-adding the passion fruit, using its juice to make cider products.
