Robert Fico, Slovakia’s pro-Russian prime minister, is in a “life-threatening” condition after being shot, the government has said.
According to the Dennik media outlet, Mr Fico was shot in an assassination attempt outside the House of Culture where a government meeting was being held.

Well I have no sympathy for this fellow who is obviously trying to make his own country to beccoem a dictatorship like that monster Putin has in Russia. He also backs Putin in whatever he does including the illegal invasion of Ukraine and also that he has dropped any support for that unfortunate country. The invasion of Ukraine in my mind is nothing short of what Hitler did during his dominance over Germany which led to WW2, and is clearly and obvious that Putin wants to expand Russia by whatever means he can and thumb his rotten nose at the rest of the world because he can as the West is so scared of provoking a nuclear conflict..

"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind". Violence can never be a substitute for dialogue and peace. Hatred can never be a substitute for cohesion and unity. Disagreements are a good sign in a civilised society and healthy democracy but it must not evolve veer into the mode of "enemy zone". This attack is condemnable.
People dissing the bodyguards, this is not US. Slovakia has minimal shootings and homicides. Things like this simply dont happen there. The worst the bodyguards had to deal with up to this point were probably flying tomatoes.
