The Nigerian state has to ensure that these culprits are brought to book, anything short of that would be postponing doomsday with a likely reoccurrence of this event

  1. The truth is that ijaw people are children of ozigwe of igodomigo who was also royalty and was building canoes and a strong warriors. The children establish the rivers, bayalsa, Cross River etc. This oil landlord are never owner of the land and they don't bring revenue to develop those areas.

  2. Kudos to HRH. There's so much tbis man knows and his knowledge can go along way in solving ND issues but trust Nigeria not to consult him. As for the journalists in Nigeria, it is very shameful that they've become armchair journalists, no investigative activities to uncover stories rather they relie on hear say. Shame on Nigeria media houses!

  3. The oil is now a curse to the people. My own family lands are gone, "unfarmable" i saw in then 70s till 2000s i keft that country. You can't see this kind of neglect in any western countries where oil is drilled. It is sad. As a soldier and son of dad and uncle who were in Nigeria Army and fought in the civil war, it is sad to see how the military is used by certain powerful cabals as dispute resolution agents. Globally, law enforcement or soldiers het killed when the make contact with any form of armed element. You have here a LT. Col, Majorss, Captain and NCOs 'ambushed' ? then you have the unethical military massacre of the defenseless citizens?

  4. Arise is compromised or subjugate since this regime came on, why? Why isbit that most big media in Nigeria no longer able to conduct investigation but now nothing but NTA like disseminator of the government side of an incident. Dele Guwa will be turning in his grave to watch private news outfits or newspapers have became.

  5. Your Highness, let’s face the truth. Killing soldiers in that manner is barbaric. It cannot be rationalized. In a democracy the minority will have their say but the majority will have their way. Unless the constitution is overhauled and the country restructured the underdevelopment in Niger Delta might persist to your agonizing agitation.

  6. The one that got me was the response regarding advice for the BAT on solutions. Bluntly put HRH volunteered if indeed BAT read the copy of his book given to Tinubu during his campaign visit, "The Riddle of the Oil Thief," perhaps we won't be where we are today! Epic and telling the truth as it should be.

  7. It is never acceptable for anyone to attack or harm law enforcement officers or military personnel who are serving their community or country. These individuals put themselves in harm's way every day to protect others and uphold the law. Violence against them is not only illegal but also undermines the fabric of society and can have far-reaching consequences.

It's important to remember that law enforcement officers and military personnel are human beings, too, with families and loved ones. They deserve respect, gratitude, and protection, not violence or harm.

Instead of resorting to violence, it's important to address grievances or concerns through peaceful and constructive means, such as dialogue, protests, or working with community leaders and authorities to bring about positive change.

Let's work together to build a society that values and respects all individuals, including those who serve and protect us.

  8. Thugs, militants, etc, are used by politicians for their selfish ends. Some are used for elections purposes, some for oil bunkering, some for religious crises, etc. Area boys were used to cart election materials, and disrupt voting in many parts of the country. The president is not free from this accusation. When these people become so powerful, no law enforcement personnel is anything in their eyes. Some of them even have policemen, mopols, soldiers, for protection. Herdsmen carry AK47, and yet, nothing is done about it, because they are from the north. How do you run a country like this?

  9. Tinubu is too willing to indict the Niger Deltans, all because they are from the minority part of the country; incidentally they lay the golden eggs for Nigeria.
Killings in the North is okay, no community or king is arrested. Niger Deltans are considered as pawns, that can easily be sacrificed.

  10. It has being in public dome what happened in Delta, the eyes witness who saw the incident come open and speaks exactly what happened in Delta.
My advice government knows what happened to those Armies so you people should stop blaming or telling lies because is already in public about what happened, is because they system of government are corrupt if not sure incident wouldn't have happened, now they are telling the citizens that those Armies went for peace keeping which is not what the eyes witness said, so why we citizens being confused by the government? Just because of illegal oil mining

  11. Dr. Ruben i have always admired your opinions but when you said on one hand yhat the army doesnot have jurisdiction over the matter but then that the 7 accused should turn themselves in. Is that not double talk?.Until the police declares them wanted thats when the should turn themselves in.Lets insist that the army should let the police do its job.I am an American veteran and i grief for my brothers in army but right is right.

  12. With guns, bulletproofs, boots and mass weight of any security personnel on a fast moving boat within forcados riverine…with a slight rift/tilt on the waterways create a fall will lead to disaster. One…the victim will have to reduce weight to survive…so…guns have fallen underwater, bullelproofs and personnels will surely drown with that weight. No be JuJu na weight and water.
