Simple Spiny Peaks Quilt using 2 1/2 inch STRIPS! 10th in our series to use leftover strips!

Tenth project in a series using 2 1/2 inch strips to make scrappy quilts! This pattern was designed for a colorful jelly roll and a white jelly roll but leftover 2 1/2 inch strips in two different colors will work just as easily!

I chose a high contrast between the two colors. The hot pink and black together are bold and the finished…

That turned out so stunning 🙂 Doing the stay stitch before cutting is so clever! Better save up 80 strips! 😁

@kathleenwalsh870

I found confusion at 1st but I was in bed tired ,so beautiful

@rebeccaenlow7395

This pink and black quilt is just stunningly beautiful! Now I have another project on my todo list. Yay! Thank you for your inspiration. 💝

@SandyDenney-so5ms

U look marvelous today & ready to finish those projects. I'm the same with 2 projects to be sent to family.

@videovic6

so cute thanks for sharing

@beckypetersen2680

Beautiful quilt – amazing what a simple rail fence on point can be!!

@oldinawahlers6116

It is dangerous to cut the strips with scissors pointing inward 😢

@cherieseward9868

Love this ❤

@1foresteratlarge509

Loved seeing this and started one yesterday with red, pink and black. Great directions too.

This is lovely. I immediately thought of all my halloween scraps, but then just as quickly over-complicated it…How hard with the on-point construction to alternate rows of colour? Orange-black-green-black-purple-black-pink-black…..would I loose my mind trying to keep track?

@judithvillarreal7064

This is lovely! I think you did a wonderful job!❤

@louisepuketapu7365

Not being negative here but will we ever empty our scrap bins I mean everything we make makes more scraps plus I’m going for the status of “ she that lives longest has the most fabric” 😉I think I’m doing pretty well as I’m definitely an over achiever😂plus I have heaps that hasn’t even made it into the scrap bins yet 🤭

@stellaunger8568

Love the quilt- Thanks ❤

@Stoffmonster467

Just when I am sure you can’t top what you have already presented in this fabulous, fun series, you prove me wrong! I am gobsmacked! You never cease to amaze! Your presentations and calm, wonderful voice make each video so encouraging.

@eveshaw233

@esterbastos8490

Lindo!!! ❤❤

@danielalongo2103

Wowwww 😀

@394questions7

How would you size this up? I’m new to quilting and was wanting to work on a larger quilt

@patriciaemeigh4370

Great idea! Love the pink and black. So much to choose from. But wondering how long it took to amass all those scraps? Also liked your solution to handling the smaller pieces.

@carolynmackay6708

Love this quilt!

@doreenstewart7341

Why not add side setting triangles to the end of the rows, then no need to cut off the ends

@tallblonde1976

What a striking design. I love the black/pink combo.

@Thirikalee

It looks FANTASTIC! Although I never made a quilt I am interested and hope to one day try it. Because I never made one I absolutely could not imagine what the result would look like until it came together on the floor. To me it looked quite complicated and I love the end product!

@vickirae561

So very beautiful!

@clarepeterson4765

Beautiful!!

@jenniferseals3642

@MonserratAbandaBaron

@cherylgates7848

The quilt turned out gorgeous! I love the pink and black, stunning. This series is so great, thanks for sharing it with us.

@lindalindag6979

Beautiful!

@elleirby3340

These videos are so great! I love that you use up all the extra bits, too. I’m the same way and my mom always laughs at me, but waste not, want not! My problem now is that I want to make more quilts so I can make more 2.5” strips from the leftovers to make all these fun designs! I definitely don’t have the volume of strips you have yet, but I’m going to a guild destash today and will be on the lookout! Thanks again for making such great videos/quilts.

@ElleLizzyMay

What a great quilt! From scraps no less! Wow

@HRHDMKYT

Great job 💕! I am amazed at how many varied strips you have to work with to get this beautiful scrappy look. You must have made hundreds of quilts and/or projects if these are all your “leftovers”! Hello from Canada 🇨🇦

@susieqmcf

Magnificent!!!!! All the quilts in this series are wonderful. Thank you!!!

@patsyrosas6330

This video was done wonderfully! Your detailed instruction was so helpful.

@vickicascio859

Beautiful. A little complicated for me

@manuelashannon1369

Love idea about the stay stitch before cutting. It’s a beautiful quilt.

@vaunniethayer1484

Inspirational!

I am enjoying this series so much! I will definitely be making this version soon as I always have 2-1/2” strips accumulating in my scrap pile.

Buenas tardes. Mi amiga, felicitaciónes. X tan lindo trabajo.. Desde Pereira Colombia.. Me encanto, esa técnica.. Mil gracias x compartir tus enseñansas.. ❤

@tdriscollch1

I really love this one! You did some interesting things with the scrappy leftovers. I’m curious to see what you do with them.

@garettwilson4738

I love these video's – I'm so inspired to use up my strips! While I know you are working the strip buckets down, I hope there are lots more video's in the future. I have learned so much – thank you!
