  1. This video is not actually that bad, I think the issue was really the title(original & edited). Otherwise, I'm still hearing you showing love so until further notice relax folks she's still family.

  2. Ashly, I have been a subscribed follower of your videos but this one I would like to take exception to. The heading is very negative and the reasoning you put forward in advancing that is actually false. Tourists accommodation have been designed to be pleasurable to different kinds of foreign visitors throughout the year and there is no exception in winter. Oh yes, we do have problems, others prefer to call them challenges, like loadshedding but there are measures in place put by tourist accommodation service providers to mitigate the effects of the loadshedding, winter or not. With regard to our elections, please talk to your friends, who are South African natives and they will tell how our elections have been peaceful (except with some very isolated cases of provocateurs) through out the years and not some African friend who knows zilch about our dynamic political scene (She/he might making reference to her/his own country and definitely not South Africa) That is false. There has never been any elections themselves or election processes in our country, which have been cancelled or disputed because of violence; pre-election, during and post-election period. I suggest that you request some of your South African friends to drive you around that day to see for yourself and experience what voting is like in the country.

  3. How is it ok to discourage people to travel to a country where you actually live in ??? You are slowly revealing your true colors sister! I always knew some of these Youtubers care mostly about views and like and they will exploit almost anything to secure their youtube bag! Including using clickbaits on touchy subjects …and the movement of coming back to africa will attract even those who merely come here for content creation !

  4. In August 2016 I came to Cape Town S.Africa with my church to do some missionary work. IT WAS COLD! We knew to expect cold weather because we had an in-country host that had pre-warned us to bring coats and gloves and warm sweaters. But I still wasn’t prepared for how cold it was even inside the buildings. We had a fireplace, but it didn’t really help unless you were right in front of it. After a few days of suffering we said something to our host, and they gave us an electric space heater, which helped tone down the chill at night. We still wore our long Johns, big socks, and wool blankets at night, but the space heater made it much more bearable.

  5. Load shedding is no fun. For a person coming from the U.S. it can be a traumatic experience. I understand it has slowed, but for a place with so much business opportunities and people it’s way too much. Seems to be a population control experiment. That’s how bad it is.
    “Thank You!” for sharing
    ❤️🖤💚

  6. Literally didn't know that we have water challenges in SA, I live in the East of Joburg and i always have water throughout the year. The only time they switch them off is when there’s maintenance, which happens once maybe in 3 years and they give us notices.

  7. If you see America issuing travel warnings, it's not about safety issues but political interference. America is pissed because South Africa sent Israel to the ICC, so they will give false exaggerated travel warnings. Can you ask yourself why America doesn't warn people about traveling to Ukraine yet it's the most dangerous country now?

  8. Yhoooo she's just experiencing our election of the first time but shes talking nonsense about violence……..haai this peole need to go back to wherever they came from

  9. by not having internal heating we have not destroyed the planet's climate 🙂
While Cape Town can be cold wet and miserable during our winter (northern summer) it's a great time to visit the Kruger National Park, northern KwaZulu-Natal (coastal lakes areas), Limpopo province…. and maybe pop into Mozambique which has perfect weather in these months – super hot in summer (and no, most places don't have aircon). j
I love your channel Ashley, just had to add my 2 cents' worth here

  10. Love your content. But most buildings are hijacked by illegal immigrents / nigereans doing many illegal businesses. That's why they could care less about maintaining the buildings. there's so many programs that where estiblished past few years trying to sort out the issue because S.A has an issue with illegal immigrants , e,g JHB cbd is a mess because of African foreigners not South Africans. Please do some research on the topic

  11. Haven't watched in a while..Good show..I had similar challenges in Tanzania.. Currently making Grenada home, and im pressed with the infrastructure of such a small country of less than 150k people

  12. Like I have always said the apartheid economical stracture whose mainstem is still intact today was not neant to serve the majority. That stracture needs to be destroyed, this election is a turning point. For the first time ANC is not going to get majority and wilk be forced into coalition government. EFF has grown, and Zuma is going to steal a lot of Zulus from ANC. It has to start with the natiolization of land. Meanwhile, i have told you to go back to TZ

  13. Our elections have never been chaotic or violent. Was this person a South African? The person who told you this? There’s nothing to fear, your American government does meddle in our business though that’s who you should be worried about.

  14. 😮😮you making it sound like South Africa is violent during elections, out elections are peaceful, you need to do more research before you talk about certain things before giving out a false narrative

  15. The title is definitely click bait and could be worded differently. The impression people get from the title is negative, scary and such like. If you ever come to Kenya again, don't do this otherwise Kenyans will take you to the cleaners!

  16. Beautiful Ashley thanks for sharing what’s happening in SA. I enjoyed the video look after yourself of cause during elections in some parts of the country it’s crazy sometimes people go mental especially if they don’t want someone in power. But hey girl you got this I know lots of love all the way from 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿from a South African 🇿🇦👍❤️😊

  17. The big thing that's different in South Africa than it is here in Atlanta, USA, Georgia is the loadshedding. I'm wondering if I could get used to that. Kinda don't think so. The roads are smooth in the north and destructive to your car in the south here in Atlanta, USA, Georgia. I've never been to South Africa but I know a whole lot about ZA. And I love the way you said 'corruption wasn't created in Africa.' Thanx for the info, or should I say . . . ngiyabonga. L

  18. ashley your 4 years of being a guest in South Africa doesn't constitute that you know the country very well. you spoke about infrastructure without realizing that all the Infrastructure you brag about where created by black led government. South Africa is one of the best country to visit during election era and its on record we are not barbaric.

If you are not sure about the legitimacy of things do research before you spread unnecessary lies.

WHAT DO YOU BENEFIT FROM ALL THIS?

  19. There must be an alternative power provider from the private sector but Eskom must not be privatized. The majority of the citizens will simply not be able to afford it. Much like how only 14% of the country can afford private health care and a small percentage can afford private schools. If Eskom gets privatized the prices will skyrocket as the infrastructure needs to be fixed. A capitalist will simply raise the prices and disconnect whoever is not paying. The middle class will suffer greatly. The working class will simply be living in the dark. This is the majority of the country. So I'm not against the private sector providing an alternative. But that needs to be an alternative for those who can afford it and find Eskom to be unreliable.

  20. Hi Ashley, please make a video on how your children have adapted to living in South Africa. If they've picked up any of our mannerism, any speech patterns, words or phrases. If they've made any friends and if they like living in South Africa etc. It would be interesting to find out how they're getting along.

  21. Who are sotsi….. I don't understand how young men roam around as if they're licensed to commit crime. Here in Kenya even before the police come for you who will execute without remorse the community will lynch u. However SA is a great country and my advice is, there's no shortcut to richness, just be smart n work smart.

  22. The most developed country in Africa, thanks to those evil Colonizers. Now in the past 3 decades since it's been handed over to the ANC, they're seeing fit to tear it all apart.

  23. 😂😂😂 them folks they wish you migrated here during the apartheid era😂😂😂😂, Ashley if you came here in this land trust me the difference is huge in our villages we didn't even have electricity our people were dying because of collera and poverty we used to drink water with cows trust me Ashley you don't wanna live around all the sadness that was just there things were tough, and all this fancy mall we have now were built after the apartheid government so that we could all enjoy them regardless what colur you are .
