Keep it coming bro
Consumer Continent. Unserious continent. At the mercy of the elements what a pity. Our Official languages in general are all imported, not indigenous. Ei!! Divided we're doomed.
I think with this awareness something have to change positively
All the so-called developments we have in Africa are not development.. they are not real, we have to depend on the east or west for them. That's not true development.
YES, YOU ARE RIGHT MY BROTHER, THANK FOR BRING THIS ISSUE UP… WE AS AFRICANS/BLACKS NEED TO START NOW… BUILDING OUR NATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATION & DATA CENTERS IT IS TIME… EVEN IF WE BUILD SMALL COMMUNITY BASE CENTERS & CONNECT THEM TO A MAIN HUB… THIS CAN BE DONE QUICKLY & EFFECIENTLY WITH UNITY… THIS WILL BE DONE, THIS SHALL BE… THE DIVINE SUPREME SPIRITUAL COUNCIL IS HERE… SO IT IS DECREE(D) !!! IN GOOD SPIRITS i LEAVE…
Nigeria also have globacom and its owned by Nigerian. Not only Main One.
We should build our own infrastructures managed by our own.
Thank You my brother for bring this up. I was thinking about this all week long. We are as the people of this great continent must have own internet services for Afrika. We need to keep and protect our information. We should not depend on outside foreigners for anything.
You are a fool like patrick lumumba from Kenya 🇰🇪, he old talk 👄 but can't produce or event anything
Okay, agree, you a talker 👄 event something for Africa to consume
This is why easy for Africans to go at each other because outsiders are controlling them, we are just too easy to divide ➗️
This is why Ghana needs Cheddar, he is the man with such seal to claim what belongs to us back. At least we must be able to own it and hire the foreign experts to maintain them for us since our own people have poor maintenance culture.
U r talking about the internet in Africa owned by foreign entities, but what about ur local or indigenous languages? English, French, Porugese, and Spanish are foreign languages. African folks are still in slavery.
GREAY JOB
Rhats why i support burkina faso, niger, and mali. We own nothing and are still slaves.
Why is this a news my brother we don't even own Africa an all there institution including the natural resources an the citizens😂😂😂 welcome to the real world, who Pay the the au,ECOWAS an your government institution in the form of aid package and loans
Some of our leaders think about their pocket, not the nation or about the future. But leader without future plans for the country, how can ur will help…..
Why does Cyrus stress his voice when speaking😅
Internet does not need servers…it only needs switches, routers, load balancer and dns servers.
If you are referring data hosting..that is another thing!
Good job ,well done.
Many thanks for bringing this up.
I am in the Tech industry and share your concerns.
I will say the problem is 3 pronged:
1. Africans as individuals and as entrepreneural groups are too disunited aka divided for a myriad of reasons and as such are slow to seize the opportunities before those from abroad seize control by exploiting the division. Even perpetuate it. Take for e,g. How Nigeria is resisting Dangote refining Nigeria's oil. It took Dangote to ask if they are fed up of Being slaves to wake up the masses that the greed of got is poisoning us with impure fuel.
2. Digital divide: By and large the Digital divide is still very wide with most Africans still not online, or know the uses of a smart phone.
In Nigeria the association with fraud and fear of losing money from online banking is greater than the desire to try it, since it will cost them money.
3. Government Lack of foresight and poor prioritisation due to greed.
From these 3 pronged, the quickest way to solve the problem is for entrepreneurs to band together and sheer synergies based on what they bring to the table with a constitution that excludes foreign control.
And continue meeting until they agree, knowing it will not be simple but extremely difficult. To learn from others like Dangote.
We have 'circo' and 'Jplox' social media apps indigenous to Africa though on a prototype stage but will improve over time, make do of it
We own ours in Nigeria. There's a company called Main One Network, its a Nigerian owned, they supply network to many telecom providers, (although they sold part of their equity recently) they have undersea cables from Nigeria to Europe. Then we have Glo fibre system, which have undersea cable from Nigeria to the Uk, fully owned by Glo (Mikr Adenuga)
You are doing well. Africans love consumption and are more interested in Real Estate because that's what they see on YouTube/Instagram/all these social media. Once again, we are not seeing how and why these foreigners are dominating us whilst we lament about bad governance. Well done my brother, knowledge is power. Love from Nigeria 👍
I really like your videos Sir. Keep up the good work.
I think rich people in Ghana are not that educated in that field, the best thing is probably for the government to look for Ghanaians abroad who are doing well in that sector and invest in them
Wow mos of us diidnt know this so thanks for this video ❤❤❤❤
Bro I really enjoyed your submission but telling someone enough of the vintage cars and mansions I think you can also make your money and choose how to spend it 😅
Brilliant one Cyrus👏. Indeed the vintage cars and mansion show offs are enough! Despite and the likes should consider investing in IT ventures and they are going to see returns they could never imagine
Dude your information is decieving. Are you talking about DATA CENTERS or DATA SERVERS? Servers are just racks of computers to host websites. Data centers are your connections to the internet backbone which is the FIBRE, so which is which?………………….
We don't own anything, we are only consumers.
What are the I.T personnels at OUR ADDI doing? This is an opportunity to rake in billions and push the oppressors out
And they are busy chasing everyone out of damnmerica
NKB has all these plans in his policies 😢
Hmmmm
This very, very important subject…
The Europeans control all our economie including fonds eat and cloths and drink.. we need our own sociale plate-formes and satellite….
Totally relevant topic. Good one Cyrus!
Bro, I raised this issue on one of your videos and one idiot came to my inbox to insult me.
Brother, I have 25 plus years in the IT industry. You hit the nail on the head once again. We habe no reason why we could not build our own datacenter in Africa. I even got a couple of servers in my closet, running multiple applications. If i can so can you.
In addition we need our own satellite and cable system for data services and not rely foreign systems… I know South Africa and Nigeria have quite a handful of satellites but they are not for Internet services.. Does Internet setup require any international permit?
Whats more important is cheap data. We need more competition
I hear you my brother Cyrus and it is being worked on as you speak!! We will meet soon!!??
