  1. Honestly I felt very bad for the boy, such pain from a step father. Chioma should have pinned it on her so called beast of a husband at list it would serves as pay back for all the pain he cost her and her son.

  2. Based on the original plot, here's an alternate ending that I think would have been satisfying:

    Ending:

After the girl's death, the community rallies around the boy and his mother. The stepfather, realizing the gravity of his actions, turns himself in to the authorities.

    Trial and Redemption:

The stepfather faces trial and is convicted of child abuse and negligence leading to the girl's death. The mother, freed from the toxic relationship, focuses on healing and supporting her son.

    The Boy's Journey:

The boy, struggling with guilt and trauma, finds solace in baseball. A kind coach mentors him, helping him channel his emotions into the sport.

    Shining Star:

As the boy grows, he becomes a talented baseball player, earning a scholarship to a prestigious academy. His success inspires others, and he becomes a symbol of hope and resilience.

    Closure:

Years later, the boy, now a professional baseball player, returns to his community. He establishes a foundation to support abused children and builds a baseball academy for underprivileged youth.

    Final Scene:

The boy, now a confident and compassionate young man, visits his stepfather in prison. He forgives him, but also ensures the stepfather understands the impact of his actions.

    Epilogue:

The boy's mother watches him play professionally, proud of the man he's become. The camera pans out, showing the community cheering for their "Shining Star."

    This ending:

    1. Provides justice and accountability.
    2. Offers hope and redemption.
    3. Highlights the boy's growth and resilience.
