Since she’s obviously uneducated to be able to style herself appropriately, surely they could afford for her to have a stylist.
Do to my spouses job, and some events we have to attend out of our regular sphere, I have hired a stylist for occasion specific help to make sure I am appropriately comfortable. Sometimes that Chico’s dress/outfit is fine for cocktail hour but not the formal dinner/reception and department stores are mother of the bride/prom-ish. Surely Megs can afford the occasional stylist.

It appears that she wants clothes that stand out! Whether from skin exposure or whether the outfit is inappropriate for the group and the venue. That beige/pale pink long dress no back was atrocious- it did nothing for her and was not appropriate for a school meeting with kids!
